I loved this book and even sent an e-mail to Karl ...
I loved this book and even sent an e-mail to Karl about his publication. He e-mailed me back and offered to ask any questions if I have them. This book should be an elective in high schools and colleges.

Glad it out there
I'm glad that Karl took the time to write this book. I had to learn many of the lessons in his book the hardway. I had to come to work and be miserable not knowing that I held the key to make a shift. It took me a while to figure it out, but you don't have to wait as long as I did thanks to Karls' book. Great tool for improving life at work
Whether you get out of bed excited to get to work, or sit in your car until the last possible second until you have to go in to your office there are lessons for you in this book. Perhaps the overarching lesson that anyone can take away, regardless of where you fall on the spectrum of happiness at work is improvement through thoughtful reflection. Mr. Staib teaches this concept well throughout his book by sharing his own experiences and analyses, as well as guiding and encouraging the reader to recall, reflect and grow on similar experiences. Think of it as an intellectual and emotional workbook for reviewing the way you work, and an aid for using all of that information to figure out how you can make your talents shine. What I like best about this book is that the strategies are specific enough to be helpful, but broad enough to encourage adaptation to the numerous work cultures that we find ourselves in. Most of the book comes from the perspective of an office worker; but as a teacher and school administrator I've found so many tips and strategies that easily adapt to working happier and productively with both coworkers and students. I highly recommend this one to everyone who goes to work!

A Needed (And Fun to Read!) Career Book
The moment I started reading Staib's book, I realized this wasn't the average career book...that either leaves you with a daunting to-do list or provides advice that's just plain common sense. On the contrary, Staib's advice is nuanced, fresh, and yet feels TOTALLY accessible. Staib is just as funny and relatable as he is easy to learn from. My favorite sections are Be Weird (AKA – Let Your True Self Shine) and the nuggets about praising hard work, not just outcomes. Hope to see more writing from this guy!

Insightful,Engaging and Sincere
This is an insightful, engaging and sincere work. It took me much longer to read and process than I expected. Not a bad thing but don't plan on covering everything in a weekend. Effective self assesment questions throughout the book. Take time for refection while you read. If you are feeling stuck or disappointed with your work, get a new perspective. Staib has a clear vision and it applies to your work happiness.
