Nice machine — great value
Huge value for your money. I have had many high end espresso machines over the years, but for the money, this machine wins. The build quality and ruggedness is clearly not the same as a low to mid-priced Gagia, buts it only $100 and makes terrific espresso. I love its compact design, ease of use, simplicity, and the milk frother. It has some quirks, like if you use the frother, it needs to be cooled down by open frother and letting it run water, but it’s all workable. I saw a review of this in some magazine, thought I’d take a shot (pun intended) and very happy with it. I’ve used different beans for it, but found the Lavazza Super Crema works best for me.

More than a year of heavy use and it still makes spectacular coffee.
I bought this coffee maker over a year ago and it's been one of the best purchases I've made for my kitchen. Before, I used a traditional electric coffee maker, and on days when I got up late for work, I had to rush out the door without time to enjoy a good cup of coffee. With this machine, that changed, because it heats up quickly and in just a few minutes I have a delicious espresso ready to start my day. At home, it's used several times a day, and after more than a year of constant use, it still works just as well as the first day. The coffee comes out with an intense, very aromatic flavor and excellent crema. The steam wand also works very well for making cappuccinos and lattes. One of the features I like most is the portafilter, as it allows you to make one or two cups depending on your needs. It's very practical when I want to make coffee for myself or someone else. The materials feel durable, it takes up little space, and cleaning is easy. Despite daily use, it has never given me any problems. Based on my experience, try not to let the water tank run completely dry. It happened to me once, and air got into the system, so the coffee maker stopped brewing until I could refill it. Since then, I always check the water level before using it, and I haven't had that problem again. After using it several times a day for over a year, I can say that it has exceeded my expectations.

Great Coffee at Home with Beautiful Design!
Absolutely love this espresso machine! It’s easy to use, heats up quickly, and makes rich, flavorful coffee with nice crema. The milk frother works great for lattes and cappuccinos, and the design looks beautiful on my countertop. Great value for the price — highly recommend!

Pretty good machine!
I’ve had the machine for about a month now and I like it! There is a learning curve but once you figure it out it’s pretty easy to use. For reference: I make a double latte every morning. I use 150 mLs of oat milk and froth/steam the milk for about 40-45 seconds. I refill the water tank weekly. Star deduction because the manual that comes with the machine isn’t great. The FAQ table is ambiguous and the entire manual is poorly written.

Good, inexpensive espresso machine but NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
I have no financial benefit from this review. After reading negative/positive reviews for this Neretva Espresso Coffee Machine - 1/2 Cups/Frother, I decided to purchase. Although I've only had it since 8/27/25 (writing this review 8/31), I am convinced the bad reviews are because the buyers didn't read the instructions. This was obvious to me because of complaints about the "error messages" and water exiting the steam wand. I was not familiar with espresso machines, and am new at wanting to learn how to brew espresso and other coffee beverages, so had to also look at You Tube videos after reading the instruction booklet that comes with the machine. After experimenting since the machine was delivered, today I was able to make a Flat White. I had several failures using the frother/steam wand. So, there was a learning curve for me. Although I have only been using this machine for 5 days, I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend for anyone who doesn't want to spend more than $100. I would give the warming tray a "D", but everything else an "A". Instead of the warming tray, I pour boiling water in my cup (and empty prior to brewing the espresso), while I'm getting everything ready. The suction cups are very strong, so I decided to put the machine on a small, hard placemat, as it's much easier to move the placemat around than to unstick the suction cups from the counter top to move it around. Also, I needed to purchase a metal pitcher to steam/froth the milk per You Tube videos. Because this is an inexpensive machine and because Neretva does not have a brick/mortar I can call directly, I purchased a 4-yr. warranty. I learned through the internet Neretva has been around since 2008, but it's a global, e-commerce, brand that manufactures and sells a range of small, electric kitchen appliances, mainly through Amazon and Walmart, to consumers who want convenient, affordable appliances for making coffee, bread and a few other foods at home. I have no clue as a consumer how to contact them; hence, the warranty. 9/10/25 Update: I still recommend this espresso machine, but wanted to offer a tip due to what happened to me this morning making my daily espresso. I set everything up to just plug in the machine and press the button before I left for about an hour to do my daily laps in the pool. When I came home, I plugged in the machine and pressed the power button while I took a quick shower. Ten minutes later I was ready for my espresso so pushed the 2 shot button, waited and during what I call the countdown, nothing happened. I did this again, and no espresso came out. Reviewed the Trouble Shooting page. Quickly I realized that the water tank was empty, went through the process again with a full water tank, but the machine did not produce any espresso. Then I removed the Portafilter (which was in correctly) and saw a few coffee grounds on the rim of the Portsfilter (which I hadn't noticed when I got everything ready). I thought "Surely a few grounds wouldn't prevent the machine from working?", but I brushed off the grounds with a very small paint brush I use for this purpose, put the Portafilter into position and VOILA, got my cup of espresso. One might not want a machine that is so sensitive. Okay; I get it. Then spend more money. For me, I'd rather discover the quirks. Just thought this info might be helpful.

Instructions call for cold water, I use purified, exclusively.
Tiny yet mighty espresso maker. The digital screen allows even beginners to draw a perfect shot or make a stellar latte in under 4 minutes; 3 shots 50 seconds; froth under 90 seconds. I large water reservoir makes several beverages. Suction cups bottom keeps machine securely on surface. Happy brewing!

Great product and great value
Was not sure I would be happy but took a chance and bought this Neretva machine. Love the small footprint and it looks so high end on the coffee bar. So I read the instructions as well as a bunch of reviews and then gave it a go for a cappuccino. Success on the very first try and it was restaurant quality taste! I am thrilled with this little machine! Full disclosure I used a separate electric frother pitcher rather than deal with the frothing wand. I prefer not using the steam wand until I am more comfortable with making espresso etc

Excellent Crema, Problematic Frother
The espresso this machine makes is genuinely good, with excellent crema, but the rest of the experience is disappointing. The vibration is strong enough that I have to hold my cup steady every time I brew. The frother is a mess — it sprays water, overheats the machine, and prevents me from making another espresso until everything cools down. After a month of use, I’m giving it 3 stars. I should have invested in a nicer, more reliable unit.

Underestimated machine, amazing espresso shots for the price $, Fantastic value!
I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this machine, and I can confirm that this product is definitely underestimated. For the price point, it pulls excellent espresso shots, even when using basic store-bought coffee. Some reviewers mentioned difficulty using the machine or fixing the steam wand, but honestly, everything is straightforward if you read the instructions or browse through other reviews here on Amazon. With freshly ground beans, the espresso tastes as good as shots from a professional machine. I actually compared my espresso at home with ones from Starbucks and two local cafés, and mine tasted even better. I no longer need to spend money daily on coffee when I can make it at home with this machine. I forgot to mention that always do double shots, the crema you get from it is delicious. A few people also complained about not being able to pull more than three shots, but I had no problem pulling four — one single, two doubles, and another single back-to-back. No issues with anything! The only part that took me a little time to get used to was the steam wand, since I’m a beginner. What really helped were the reviews mentioning that as soon as you are done pulling your first espresso shots and you want to add milk and you want to froth, the moment you click on “Steam wand,” the machine automatically raises its temperature for frothing. It will raise it until you can start frothing. When you’re done frothing your milk and want to pull another espresso shot, just purge a bit of water from the wand to lower the temperature especially if you just finished using the steam wand — once the shot buttons stop blinking, you can brew again. That tip made everything easy. I also loved the packaging — clean and well-presented. The machine comes with the basic accessories you need, so you don’t have to buy extras right away. It’s very easy to clean, ergonomically designed, and while it might feel a little light, it’s nowhere near as “cheap” as some people claim. For the price, you’re getting top-notch performance and quality. One funny thing — I wasn’t sure how to turn off the machine at first! I know you might laugh at it and I claimed that I read the whole manual, but for some reason the turning off was not as intuitive for me because it is the same button as the 1 shot espresso. You actually have to hold down the first shot button (the one with the power symbol) to power it off. Don’t just press it, or you’ll end up making another espresso shot by accident... happened to me twice😄 Forget your Keurig or Nespresso — those are inferior to this little powerhouse and cost more. I truly appreciate all the reviews that helped me decide, and I hope mine helps for others to decide for themselves to give this espresso machine a chance. You won’t be disappointed. If your budget is tight but you still want great coffee, this is by far the best espresso machine for the price. I’m saving so much money by skipping the coffee shops. Purchased on October 2nd — I’ll update this review in a few months with longer-term feedback, but so far, I’m extremely impressed. I have attached some pictures for your reference. The picture with the shots, I was using store bought Van Houtte- dolce crema espresso ground coffee.

Wrong line power supply for destination shipment country
Profound disappointment with this model and Neretva business - Sold on amazon.sg with a US/North America-specific power supply, and delivered to Singapore where line power is 230V/50 Hz. Unit shorted out. Manual says unit supports 230VAC/50Hz and 120VAC/60 Hz.

Great little machine that makes great expresso
I was worried after reading a couple reviews - but once I got it, I was very happy. As some say, it is a nice little unit - heats up fast and makes a good little cup of expresso. Great deal, especially with the little discount. What I liked - the half shot and full shot - one of each gives a nice amount of expresso and how well it works at extracting that great coffee flavor and a nice head of foam. Advise I would give - For those who think it is hard to mount the portafilter - adjust a bit - I have seen it be hard to turn but it wasn't in correctly - there is a sweet spot that you need to find and then it goes in place with ease. A good amount of it looks more like plastic colored to look like stainless steel - maybe inside has more actual stainless steal - but over all, this doesn't feel cheap, doesn't lack in performance and I highly recommend it.

Nice machine but the instructions are poor.
Excellent machine and attachments. Looks great on the countertop and doesn’t take up much space. Stop scrolling, you can go ahead and buy this. I’m not at snob level so this machine is great imo. But throw the instructions in the garbage, totally lose one star for that. Had to watch coffee and milk froth videos to figure it out on my own. But this machine makes great coffee. Delish! My first attempt my coffee was luke warm but all I had in the cupboard that fit under the low deck was a soup bowl lol. Bought a set of good espresso cups and now my coffee stays piping hot. So very happy I bought this set, so relaxing to enjoy a specialty coffee at home and dare I say a little fun to make.

The best machine ive ever owned
WOW! Ok, so this is amazing. I had a much cheaper one but it started smoking so to the garbage it went. It was only a 5 bar machine and this one is 20, so the first time I used this new machine it was visually striking. How it brewed. I have used the same cappuccino coffee for years and this was the first time I saw it making the white/brown foam they described as creama on the coffee package. I was taken back just watching it but the taste was even better! The difference between my new one and old was so much better now. I was interested in trying to make the new machine warmer but apparently its designed to be this exact temperature to make the coffee taste the best it can. So I googled how to make it hotter and they said to brew one Cup with just the hot water of the machine or to warm the cup on top of the machine, on the heating plate. After letting the hot water warm the cup I make the 2 cup cappuccino twice to make a nice lattè in a wide cup. This is Starbucks quality or better from my experience. I couldn't be happier with it. I was only sent the 2 cup so I contacted customer service and they are shipping me the one cup attachment. I had absolutely no issues with customer service, they are vety helpful. Im thoroughly impressed. Just remember to keep topping up the water in the back. The set up is very easy. There's really nothing to it. Theres a red plug in the bottom where the water tank sits remember to take that out. I havent had any problems with mine. I feel like this was the best decision I could have made towards my morning cappuccinos/lattès. Im glad I took the risk to try this brand.
