The tray itself is fine, but be warned
The tray itself is fine, but be warned. The dimensions are NOT the same as listed. This '40cm' tray may be built to fit the 40cm pot that goes with it, but it's actual dimensions are 32cm rim to rim and only 25 cm resting area inside for the bottom of the pot. If you are thinking of buying this tray for another pot and actually need 40cm, DON'T.

Wow, they really work!!
I'm not a huge fan of plastic pots generally, but these are super-sturdy and very good at what they do. I've been using the 50cm troughs around the edges of the raised beds in my veggie garden, normally too dry to support life. The crops in them have not only survived but thrived in the heatwave. I also have a few of the square tubs with toms and fruit bushes in them. In this case I liked the green as it looks good with my identically coloured greenhouse, but the limited range of colours available and the lack of availability in some sizes are the only things I would mark them down on. They are not weak or wobbly, even when full of wet John Innes no. 3, and the self- watering function works very well. I also plan to continue to use them in the greenhouse and conservatory over late autumn and winter to extend the growing season, so I should get full value from them!

Plastic Balcony Trough
This is my first purchase of a Stewart Balconniere Trough and I am quite satisfied with it even thoughthe dimensions are not exactly as advertised.I received a green one that measures up at 67 cm long by 18 cm wide, the over all depth being 18 cmbut when you include the watering tray that is placed inside the trough, the depth is reduced to 14 cm.Despite being a lightweight product I have found the trough to be strong enough to take the weight ofthe soil or compost required to grow your plants or veg.I particularly like the feeding tube which fits into the watering tray.A satisfied customer.

A useful window sill tray good enough quality.
It is a good enough quality to hold window sill pots etc. The quality didn't seem as rigid as those by Stewart in my local garden centre and quite shallow but is adequate for my use with lots of small terracotta clay pots. The tray arrived in perfect condition although only packaged in a plastic bag. It took rather longer to arrive although within the delivery schedule.

Not 40 cm square!!!
I would like to echo a previous review and wished I had read it before ordering! This is not 40 cm square as per the advertised size. I appreciate that in the full product information it states that the size is 33cm square but when buying something as simple as a tray for a pot, then the size advertised should be its size!

Closer to 46cm but no complaints
No complaints whatsoever. This green 50cm trough tray is simple but sturdy and suitably sized. It is actually 46cm from end to end, so a little short of the 50cm, but nothing to worry about. Ideally, you would probably use this as a drip tray for a trough, but I started with eight 3-inch pots on the tray squeezed together. I now have three 5-inch pots comfortably sat on the tray.

Check contents
I order two packs of 2 and I was really happy with the first box I opened each planter had an insert for beneath the soil to form a cavity for drainage and a feed pipe for watering. Unfortunately the second box I opened just contained two planters and no inserts. I paid the same price for both orders.
