I use my LMS mini lathe near daily for tons of projects and fabrications, and am used to the need for more time due to taking smaller cuts of materials due to lacking of horsepower and stability of the main chassis, compared to my old South Bend 10" lathe. This style tool bit allows me to remove .020"-.025" per pass now on most materials, without any chatter or hesitation in cutting, compared to the standard tool steel or insert type tool standard shapes. For radius cutting, it is very nice, quick and easy.

Using on a 9x20. These are very versatile, well made holders.

Shipped fast and cuts nice

The media could not be loaded.  There are left and right tool holders for a round insert and there are 10 inserts supplied, 5 for steel, and 5 for SS.I tested the SS on a 316 SS 10-32 bolt head, just to clean it up a bit. The tool and the insert had no problem dealing with he splines on the head. I took the video after the splines were cleaned up. It cut clean, the insert is sharp and there was no chatter (though that is lathe and user dependent more so than the tool).I mounted both of these tools onto my QCTP holders. Only tools that perform well get to have a permanent tool holder in my collection. These made the grade.Recommended.

This is a nice small round profiling set for smaller machines. The set sent to me actually had a left and right hand cutting tool and an extra right hand cutting tool.I like using round tooling quite often just for the continuous edge on the insert and the multiple angles you can clean up edges with it without moving the tool rest.Just tinkering with some scrap 1 1/2" round drops, nothing extremely hard, the inserts worked well, left a decent finish, and made nice chips when pushed as much as you can push this small tooling.Ill keep one of these loaded in a tool holder for frequent use on smaller items.A definite recommend for the price.
