Encarsia for whitefly Control - 2 introductions

The Encarsia shifted my whitefly and I now have a good crop of chillies and peppers. It takes a while for them to get going, but they are very effective.

Very impressed how quickly they arrived after ordering and despatch and 2nd set arrived right on time. They definitely worked although the white fly population wasn't totally eradicated very few are left. Simple instructions and easy to use.

A friend told me about this product as there were whitefly in my greenhouse most of the summer. The yellow sticky cards weren't working and I was loathe to use a spray.Thought the greenhouse might be a bit cool as Autumn was approaching but within weeks the whitefly had all but disappeared. I'll definitely use this again next year only earlier.

I was disappointed with this order because after several weeks the encarsia were still encased on the cards and my plants still covered in whitefly! None of the cards you sent released their "wasps"! I left them hanging on the plants in the greenhouse!Barbara Hollingworth.

Encarsia work well for whitefly control. It reduced the infestation to a point that allowed the affected plants (mainly aubergines) to recover. Deploying the cards onto the plants is straightforward. You do require patience, though, as the wasps attack the larvae rather than the adult flies, so it takes a little time to see the effect. I delayed deploying the encarsia a little too long this year and the whitefly had inflicted damage. Next year I will use them as soon as I see the start of the build-up.

Followed instructions carefully but the whitefly population in my conservatory increased after 6 weeks. No way of knowing if the wasps hatched. Will have to buy sticky fly traps instead.

The nematodes were dispatched and arrived very quickly, which is just what i needed as the white flys were massing.
