Helikon-Tex Chicom Chest Rig, Patrol Line

Not a bad piece of kit for the price. If three mags isn't enough for you there are plenty of surplus double mag pouches out there to mount to the molle on the chest rig.

The quality is outstanding, and the 3 mag design is perfect for activities requiring a lighter, smaller, more nimble rig. I got it in the Polish Camo, and liked that pattern very much. It's expensive, but I think of it as one of those buy once, cry once kind of purchases, the kind of purchase you make when you realize you are paying extra for something that will last for years to come. If I had one complaint, it would be that they don't offer it for larger caliber magazines.

Reasonably well made. Looks good and will fit a wide range of body types. Can be used for AK or AR magazines, but AR fit best. Easy to add extra rifle or pistol mag pouches, tool pouches to the wings. Add a dangler pouch or tourniquet holder with velcro panel on the back. Large flat pocket behind mag pouches. Only complaint is waist strap could be wider and longer at little cost. Good product. Well made.

Well made and does what it says on the tin. No instructions included for how to set it up with the included pullers and I was too stupid to figure it out so their inclusion was no benefit to me. I also would not recommend getting the brown grey color. It looks good but it's proprietary and Helikon only makes a couple of pouches in the same color in case you want to add anything to the MOLLE. Currently set up with pistol mag pouches and a GP pouch (in OD green because of aforementioned problem), overall weight even with steel AK mags is barely noticeable. Best option I've found if you want that chicom style but with modern, industry standard improvements.

This rig is just what you need as a base to complete a recce rig, day trip at the range or class. Durable, many options for set up.

Very comfortable and low profile. Lots of adjustment. Mag pouch works great for both AK and AR. Put together very nicely.

I'm just a hobbyist / LARPER so I am not qualified to comment on any "real world combat" experiences with regard to this chest rig's durability from rough treatment, daily wear, etc. Nevertheless it does seem to be well made and it is extremely lightweight. It is a very basic, stripped down chest rig that wasn't designed to be used for carrying massive load outs ( like a plate carrier ). I could see it used professionally by VIP protection details who want to carry reloads on their body without a lot of bulk and that could be concealed under a jacket to maintain a low profile in public.I purchased the multicam version and I think it looks great. I reviewed this rig on YouTube as well as some other websites and at one time they were manufactured in some other rare camo patterns ( Portuguese paint brush pattern ? ) that looked awesome but I don't know if they still are.Anyway, I feel that I got my money's worth on this chest rig, it looks great, seems well made for the price point, and the delivery time was also pretty quick.I would recommend. 👍
