Can't Return, Probably Unsafe, Worked One Day
I didn't read ALL of the reviews because I was just so desperate to finally have a fix to my issues. Now $60 went down the drain and I CANT get it back. For MONTHS I have been dealing with my two one year old males pulling, scratching, crying and causing chaos while I am trying to sleep. I lose sleep on work days, wake up cranky and tired, and it repeats every night. I tried everything: putting things to block them from scratching my door, wore my AirPods to block out their constant meowing, sprayed them with water numerous times just for them to come back and start over again. I couldn't take it. I didn't want to resort to this product, but I also couldn't let this go on. So I caved and purchased it. Upon getting the product, it seemed fine, but one thing sort of stood out to me: the warning labels on the can. It claims to be "pet safe", yet it warns YOU that if you inhale it and feel unwell to get medical care, and if skin or eye contact is made: to wash your eyed with water for upwards of 15-20 minutes! What is in this can that makes it so dangerous?! And I would want to use this on my pet?! That threw me off and made me unsure about even starting it up, but I did and used it for one night. When I first started the the device up, it sprayed ME with the can contents. It felt oddly cold, and was VERY loud, and the contents misted, like it was some sort of canned liquid and not air. Almost like dry ice. I used it only ONE night with rechargeable AAA batteries. Went to use it again the next night, won't work. All it does is turn on, then show a solid red light. I assumed maybe - just maybe - the batteries were somehow bad after just charging them the other night. So I charged them up again and reinstalled them. Nope. Same thing. Solid red light. I refuse to believe it is the fact the batteries are rechargeable since the device WORKED the night before. And unbeknownst to me: I CANNOT RETURN THIS ITEM! I did not know when purchasing it that it cannot be returned (which is where I wish I read more of the reviews). And I don't even think contacting support will allow me to find a work around. I don't think I would even want to speak with SSSCat's customer service to get a replacement, since the warning labels on the can itself are already off putting enough. At least I am in the same boat with many others... But I had to learn the hard way, and lose money doing so. Do not buy this product, not mainly because of its win-or-lose functionality, but the mysterious contents you are spraying on your pet or in the air. Now, I'm stuck with living with my cats bothering me at night nonstop, and a funky, faulty machine that cost near $70.

Expensive, works most of the time
This product is not intended for out doors. However, I have a covered front porch. I'm having issues with stray cats marking my front door. I'm using this product in conjunction with the floor spikes. it's been about a month, and I have not smelled cat urine on my front porch! thank you Jesus! It doesn't seem to work all the time in the dark (but that's with me walking by). I haven't looked at my camera to see the stray cats reactions, all I know is my front porch smells great! I have the product placed under a table, blocking it from the wind and rain, but very visible. It has a large range of motion for the spray detection. I am not happy with how much the refill bottles cost either. The other reason this product works so well is because the animal no longer associates the negative response from me the human. The negative response is coming from an the object, thus it works when I'm not around. Before, the animal would just avoid me because i would spray it with a water bottle.

Returning it is impossible!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!
We had one of these years ago and it worked flawlessly. Ordered this newer style one recently to help one of our cats from peeing in an area it shouldn't pee in. This thing just won't work. I've replaced the batteries twice, thinking it may be the batteries but that's not the case. No matter what setting I try, it doesn't work as it claims. It'll go off when no one is around it, yet our cat can walk right up to it, sniff it, and it won't even detect the motion and alert the cat. This thing is garbage as listed in other reviews. Amazon directs you to the manufacturer to return it or contact the company's support department, but that is a joke. This item isn't even listed on the company's website to get support for and you can't advance with your support request until you select the item you're needing support with. What a waste of money. I wish we wouldn't have gotten rid of our old one from years ago. It worked incredibly well.. this newer model is just junk. Another dissatisfied customer that's out $50+ bucks because I can't return it. Such a scam.. I'm surprised Amazon deflects these complaints and return requests onto the manufacturer with no help from them at all. All I did was waste time going down a rabbit hole on the manufacturer's website that does not help at all because this item is not even listed. So now I'm not only out the money, but I'm really pissed off. Don't waste your money on this folks!

Worked to discourage cat from jumping on the counter
This worked well to discourage my cat from jumping on the kitchen counter. When first got this and set it up, my cat tried jumping on the counter a couple times to check it out, but quickly jumped off when she got hit with the puff of air. The air spray is odorless, but it is strong and loud. She hasn't jumped on the counter in weeks, so now I mostly scare mysef with it when I forget to turn it off when I need to be at the counter. The censor is pretty sensitive and the radius is wider than expected, so it goes off when I walk by if I dont give it a wide berth. I do turn it off when I'm in the kitchen, but the cat is now uninterested in the counter in general, so its not a problem. This probably wont be the case for every cat, but it worked for me. Assembly was easy. When I first got it, I put in old batteries and had the problem of it going off randomly, but I put in brand new batteries, and haven't had the problem since. I leave it on overnight, and it does not go off at all anymore since the cat stays away.

Honestly unreliable
I bought this device a couple of weeks ago thinking that this would solve our problems. We adopted a cat a few months back and we currently live in an apartment building. We're planning on moving into a house, and this cat likes to bolt out our apartment door when it opens. We were hoping that this device would help teach her to not do that now that we're moving to a home! Unfortunately, this wasn't up to par. When I first got it, it worked wonders within the first few days. I was detecting our cat and she was starting to learn her boundaries. However, it's now Week 3 of owning this device, and it barely detects her now. We've already had to buy a new can of spray because it detects us humans by the door more often than the cat! I'm really disappointed, especially for the price. We will probably just let this current can run dry. This was one of the few options I saw that didn't contain a scent or anything in the spray I'd be concerned with. We're now planning on purchasing a tracking collar just in case she gets out.

Really WORKS to keep cats off certain areas!
I have tried everything to try to keep my elderly cat off an area of the dining room and rug that she likes to pee on. We’ve used enzyme cleaners, little spike mats, even a noise making mat to deter her from urinating there. Finally I found these sprayers and I can say they actually work for keeping a cat away. They are motion sensitive and blow a puff of compressed air when the cat is nearby, sending them off with the startling noise. My one gripe would be that the refills are expensive. If you don’t place carefully, other pets and or family members can set them off, wasting the precious (expensive) puffs of air. Also after awhile, the batteries need to be changed. But if you’ve tried everything and are at your wits end trying to keep a cat away from a specific spot, these are definitely worth trying!

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE YOU WILL BE SORRY
If I could give this product zero -or negatve-stars I would. This little gadget is way too expensive for what it is to begin with, but to buy it in May and have it no longer working by June 30th is unacceptable to me. I have THREE of them and currently only one is still working. Of course I expect it to quit any minute like the other 2. When they worked, they were fine, no complaints about the operation WHEN it worked. They did what they were supposed to do. But I didn't only need them for a month or two, and I never would've spent that kind of money on something so temporary. Heads up: They are NOT returnable, and I could find no contact information that got any response. Amazon gave me a refund on the first one that went bad, but you have to jump through hoops for it and it is a "one time courtesy" These are absolute GARBAGE, a huge hunk of plastic crap. At first I thought I'd gotten a lemon and decided to try another one. But no. They're all lemons.

Motion sensor was unreliable
We bought 2 of these. They worked well for the first week, but then started to have issues. The first started failing after about 30 sprays and the second after about 50. It seemed to be an issue with the motion detector sensitivity as - I could set them off as a human but having our cats walk within a foot of each of them would not set them off. We even had a setup for the table with 2 units both covering the small table from both sides and watched one of our kitties parade about as if they weren't there (and they never went off).
