Lockpicking has become a popular topic with many in the security community. While many have chosen to learn the fine art of opening locks without keys, few people explore the fascinating methods of attack that are possible WITH keys. Keys to the Kingdom addresses the topics of impressioning, master key escalation, skeleton keys, and bumping attacks that go well beyond any treatment of these topics in the author’s previous book, Practical Lock Picking . This material is all new and focuses on locks currently in use as well as ones that have recently emerged on the market. Hackers and pen testers or persons tasked with defending their infrastructure and property from invasion will find these techniques uniquely valuable. As with Deviant Ollam’s previous book, Practical Lock Picking , Keys to the Kingdom includes full-color versions of all diagrams and photographs. Check out the companion website which includes instructional videos that provide readers with a full-on training seminar from the author. Excellent companion to Deviant Ollam’s Practical Lock Picking Understand the typical failings of common security hardware in order to avoid these weaknesses Learn advanced methods of physical attack in order to be more successful with penetration testing Detailed full-color photos in the book make learning easy, and companion website is filled with invalualble training videos from Dev! While I'm not a security professional... I've grown an interest in the mechanics of locks, lock picking and anything that might fall into those realms. I have been attempting to devour all the information I can and I've yet to find a book with half as much information in twice as many pages. Whether wanting to see how people might bypass your security, up your overall security knowledge/chops or just have a fascination with how locks work (something so simple and most of us take for granted): Definitely worth the read! Review: Great Book! But where's my DVD??? - Again, the book is amazing; but then again everything Ollam writes is. He gives great little insights delivered with enough personality to actually make books like this readable and not just dictionary style how to scribblings. Insights like how something is manufactured that helps you remember why it is an issue (and makes you seem like a genius when explaining it to the rest of your lockpicking buddies). The problem is it didn't come with a DVD like it says it would. Is there even supposed to be a DVD??? WHO CARES, BUY IT ANYWAY AND LOSE YOUR KEYS WITH CONFIDENCE!!!!

Highly recommended!
Deviant Ollam is a superb writer and teacher of this subject. KEYS TO THE KINGDOM is an excellent companion to the first book, PRACTICAL LOCK PICKING. Start there before reading this book for an excellent foundation in this field. I've always been curious about locks and picks and after reading the first book see the world around me in an entirely new way. This book offers additional methods and techniques for the advanced student.

Buy it... No really... Buy it now!
It's one of the best writings on locksmith skills I've read so far... Very impressive. But this one and then decide if you really need anything else... Most likely not...

Great follow up to Practical Lock Picking. Easy to read format and a wealth of information. Really like the section on impressioning. A must have for your Lock Sport library.

Excellent resource
Deviant Ollam lays out offensive locksmithing very well in this book. His photos/pictures and explanations are clear and concise. I was impressed by it when I read it the first time and I've since referred others to this book to develop their own skills.

Kratzen auf der Vorderseite
Das Buch ist schön. Leider war die Vorderseite zerkratzt. Das Buch sieht eher gebraucht, als neu aus.

In the small lockpicking word, you'll ever only need 2 books : the ones from Deviant Ollam. They are very clear to understand, you can feel the writer's passion, and you'll be much more aware at the lack of basic security of the very majority of all doors (including yours, rigght now). Top buy.
