Effective Noise-Proofing
For those occasions when good, ol' fashioned Duck Brand brown duct tape won't do the trick, this is an excellent, sturdy, and sticky product. It was recommended that I try using weatherseal around the frame of our door for soundproofing. We have had a serious noise problem, as our condo faces a loud common-area whose open space amplifies sound. Residents and foot-traffic generate noise that travels right into our unit. Since we were desperate for a modicum of peace & quiet, we thought we'd give this product a try. It was easy to apply around the door's frame; the silicone "wave" profile really does expand & contract to seal gaps. The brown color blends in unobtrusively. Now, there is a marked difference in the amount of noise-intrusion, for which I'm grateful. This M-D Building Products weatherseal provides an effective barrier not just to minimize dust and temperature variation, but against noise. Highly recommended!

Nice yet must be split in half to be 17 feet.
I like this product pretty well, just one thing it is now where near 17 feet more like 10. I did one side of a door 7' and there is not even enough to do across the top. Will contact Amazon about a second package or get them to revise the listing. 17 feet is 2x what I got.Seals well and goes up easy.Would probably give 5 stars if I got 17 feet, which would do a 3' door. Yet then the the width is like 3/8"I am now aware that if split in 1/2 would be 17 feet.

Okay but doesn't loses its stickiness
We just purchased a house in Massachusetts, land of taxes and cold winters. The previous homeowners had done a terribly poor job of winterizing the house. By that, I mean they had basically done nothing, so there were drafts coming in all around the doors and windows. When I saw this product, I thought it could be the answer to reducing drafts and hopefully our sky high heating oil bills. It did work for a while, but then the product started losing its stickiness and portions would just peel up and hang off the inside of the door. I would try it again to give it a second chance, but it is frustrating to need to spend more money to keep fixing the same problem.

Did the trick!
After buying two different types of weather stripping from the local Home Depot, we finally got this from Amazon. We used rubbing alcohol to prep the area so we got good adhesion when installing. It is an air-tight seal. The only 'downside' is that we have to pull pretty hard on the door to open it initially, if the door has been shut for a long time (I actually thought the door was locked the first time).

Needs to adhere better
We used this on the bottom of our slideouts when we replaced the carpet with wood. It looks and works great, however it keeps coming loose at the edges. I need to find some good glue to permanently adhere it.

Works but short !
Just got this to help seal an indoor swinging door. The product works well and I am sure will help with cooling now and heating this winter. A word of warning the package and the description say 17 feet, our package had 10 feet at the most. Amazon customer service is sending out a second package and will be looking into this but I wanted everyone to have a heads up as of now these run 7 feet short.UPDATEJust got the package that Amazon shipped out and it is also 10 feet long.

Works OK
I needed something to seal a leak on my greenhouse door, it worked but it is a little skimpy, had to use two strips to seal the door.
