Good for the price
I’m not sure I’d recommend this mask in a life-or-death situation, but for projects like painting, it has worked pretty well for me. I’ve been doing some oil-based paint spraying projects and it does a good job keeping the bad stuff out. The overall quality is not what I would call high end, nor would I call it the worst. For a mask around thirty dollars, I’d consider it to be pretty good. The fit is decent too.

Great as a novelty, collectors item or maybe for Cosplay. Not great as a respirator.
If you are thinking about getting this to use as a respirator I'd suggest getting a modern full face respirator instead. This mask fogs up and you can't see through the lenses. Modern full face respirators have a nose cup over your mouth and nose which keeps your moist exhaled air out of the upper compartment which prevents the lenses from fogging up. This mask doesn't have that, which makes in an inferior design. This is a Chinese made replica of a Soviet GP5 gas mask. It has a like of classic old-style "gas mask look" to it. The original GP5 came in 4 or 5 different sizes, which is really important because this "helmet style" rubber mask is **not adjustable**, so you absolutely need the right size so that it seals, but is not uncomfortably tight. This mask only comes in a single unnamed size, which you can't adjust looser or tighter. This mask seals on me, but is very uncomfortably tight, making in unusable as a mask, even for costume purposes. Your fit may vary. Also, keep in mind that the bulky coffee can activated carbon canister is only good against volatile organic compounds, such as acetone. It's not a general purpose filter. And it isn't NIOSH rated. So you are rolling the dice as to whether it will protect you or not.So, this is fun as a decorative item, but not a practical respirator.

Buy a head cover, it will rip out hair
So it fits standard nato 40milDont know if I trust the plastic lenses, most chemicals would melt that if I actually needed it.Comes with a carry bagGet yourself a balaclava to put on under it, just trust me.Replacing the lenses is actually really easy if you get some 5% welding glasses, just swap em out.

Good for playing
This is a nice looking mask for playing around or role playing. This is pretty well made and not cheaply made. I would not recommend this for anything real, but it is a nice novelty item. This does not have any adjustment straps to secure, so it is not possible to create a real seal. Good for make believe or training.

Great gas mask for roleplay
I ordered this gas mask for roleplay purposes, not for respiratory protection. This is not PPE and should not be considered proper PPE. If you need some sort of respiratory protection for painting, warfare, etc. - get an actual full hood or acceptable alternative. For the purposes of roleplaying, this mask works perfectly! Fit is comfortable (for being a gas mask) - it's easy to get on, fits snugly, easy to remove.

Gas mask
This gas mask is like the old fashioned early cold war era Soviet style has masks. With that said, it does cover the face. The canister filter isn't the greatest, but if you replace it with a better 40mm filter, it works ok. The mask has bad visibility and isn't all that comfortable, but at least it kind of works. It combats airborne pollutants, though lots of other masks do it better and much more comfortably. The carrying bag is not the greatest, but it's better than nothing and appreciated. This is ok.

Really cool mask.
I have ordered several different masks lately, this is the only one that seems to fit with my beard. If you've got a larger head, and a beard that tends to keep the seal on a regular mask from working this may be the one for you. Definitely recommend.
