Great Optic for the price plus excellent customer service from Monstrum
I was on a budget when I purchased this optic. I ordered it not knowing how the quality was going to be and I was very disappointed when the first time I used it the dot disappeared… I sent Monstrum an email and they replied with “send us your address and we will send one out tomorrow “ and they did. I have not had one issue with this one. Coming from the automotive manufacturing business I understand that there will be a few bad ones that get through…

Cracked glass
While attempting to zero this sight to my gun I used less than 100 rounds and found a chip out of the glass in the lower right corner. I could not move the dot down vertically with the adjustment. I maxed it out and then zeroed the adjustment screw and still no change. I was using a bore laser to zero. I could not turn the light off either. I was hopeful with this sight as it is made in America, but I guess that does not mean all that much.My gun was a Glock 19 with a Doctor footprint adapter. I had bought the sight and the adapter as a package.Although the Monstrum website says they have a lifetime warranty, they said I had to go through Amazon. I just returned it to Amazon. So the company would not back their product if through Amazon.

First one was the worst I have experienced so far.. 2nd time so far so good
I have several rails and mounts from this brand and they have all been great so far. I thought this dot looked great and had very high hopes.First off, it's dimension is off. It's a hair too long to fit into a slide with docter cut. So I mounted it on a Canik SFX using adapter plate. First time taking it to range, the dot drifted up into the sky by round 10. Round 15 the glass popped off completely. As you can see there is only a tiny amount of glue on the top edge of the glass. I'm not sure who thought that was going to be sufficient to hold up to any amount of recoil.I'm beyond disappointed with this. I love trying out inexpensive optics hoping to find a unicorn. Before this one the worst was a CVLIFE but that at least lasted 60 rounds on the same gun before the dot went up in the sky.Maybe I got a defective one but I'm not even sure I want to bother trying a replacement.Edit1: Upping to 3 stars for superb service. I reached to seller with photos of the failed unit, a new one showed up in a couple of days. I will give this another chance to see how it holds up the next time I go to range.Edit 2: Finally made to range with the replacement unit. 100 round and it held up without issues. Glass stayed in place and the unit held zero. Upgrading to 4 stars. It's still too early to give it the GTG but I will update once I get more rounds in.

Great Red Dot for the Price
You'd be hard pressed to find as decent of a red dot at this price. It's a solid build, easy to mount, and easy to adjust (although out of the box it was already pretty spot on already).

Does NOT fit Docter/Doctor cut slides. Close, but does not fit
I bought this optic for a PSA Dagger slide with a Docter/Doctor cut. The Monstrum Raven is very close, and looks like it "should" fit, but it does not. Most of the holes line up, but the optice will not drop into the footprint on the slide. Even a bit of force does not get it to drop in.Secondly, if it would drop it, none of the included screws would work (wrong threads), and the screws included with the cover plate for the PSA Dagger slide would not be long enough.I have reached out to Monstrum, but have not heard back. I will be returning this optic.

Features are there but some quality issues seem to exist
After getting the Docter adapter to get this mounted, I took it out and give it try. The red dot was plenty bright and easily adjusted brightness for any situation. I found the dot to often seem blurred or elongated which worked but was distracting. After shooting about 50 rounds it seemed my shots were drifting. I wasn't sure if it was the mount or the dot was moving. I checked the mount which seemed secure and proceeded to zero the sight again. Before the end of the next 50 shots I was off again. I don't believe it was the mount and there is always room for human error but I believe it to be the sight. The functionality of the sight works as expected but I was having difficulties keeping it on target.

Versatile budget micro red dot
The list price on this when I ordered it was $70. When it finally arrived I immediately put on the picatiny adapter and put it on my S&W Victory .22LR that I converted into a competition shooter/race gun. I zeroed it in with a laser bore site and shot away. I left it on my race gun for over a week shooting well over 1000 rounds and never once had to adjust back to zero.My only complaint and reason for 4 stars is that when you need to turn the brightness up for whatever reason, the red dot becomes slightly blurry the brighter you turn it up. But this does not affect me much because I like my red dot to be almost transparent….I also took the pic adapter off and put it on an MOS plate, Doctor pattern on a Glock17, Gen4 and put almost 400, 9mm rounds through it and it’s still holding zero.As of rn it is still on my G17, G4 and I think it might stay there. So far it has performed well. Well over the $70 price tag when compared to other micro red dots that cost more than $70.

Make sure you have the right mount
Thought I had the right one but it doesn't fit. My fault. Make sure you have the right fit and that you check before your return window closes. What I can say about it is that it is not very useful above about 60% brightness on the dot because the dot turns into a red ball. As you continue to turn it up it just becomes a bigger red blob.
