Got me through an Africa trip with viable medication. Battery life a bit short.
This unit was compact and when not in use, I could fit it into my rolling computer case. It was lightweight to carry on my shoulder when it was in operation and needed ventilation. It kept steady temperature for as long as I had it plugged into power. I used the battery until it ran out multiple times, but the battery life was only 2 to 3 hours at 45 F. I recommend extra batteries to survive long plane flights if current is not available. It was fantastic to have both plug and USB options for charging. The unit was passed through all airport security at Newark, Johannesburg, small Botswana airports and Cape Town. Bring a back-up insulator medication carrier for long transit in case of power loss. The refrigeration compartment is not large: I could carry 6 syringes of my medication and might have fit 8. It was enough. I use a medication to stimulate white blood cells to protect my immune system. Using insulated carriers only, the medication failed on a trip to SE Asia in January. With this unit, I was able to maintain cold storage for a trip to Africa and my immune system came home in good shape, indicating that the medication maintained potency.

Great but loud
I have this in my bedroom. It's loud enough that I can hear it. I tried replacing the fans with Noctua fans but to my surprise that did not make a difference. I then ordered low RPM fans in hopes those can be quieter but no still I can hear it at night. Finally what worked is adding rubbed gaskets under fans (made a minor difference) and cutting air vents to make the wholes bigger and air flow easier to pass. This made a large difference. I can still hear it but now I have to concentrate on it.This is a lot more powerful than those mug like coolers. But if you get those do the same, open up those air vents so the noise goes down.

Will not close
Standard 5ml vials will not fit standing they have to be laid flat. This should have been noted in the product description.
