Find the target
I did not want to spent hundreds of pounds on a range finder, as I am just a beginner with golf, After looking at what was available I decided on the Tacklife Rangefinder. I was not disappointed with the quality and the futures built into the unit. The main future I was very impressed with was the range. To find the target was very easy. Using the focus ring from short distances to its maximum the target was clear and sharp. You can see by the photo below it registered 890 metres in a straight site line, over and above their maximum of 875 meters shown in the specifications. The angle distance will also give good readings, as well as the straight line it also displays the angle to the target. To get the speed of a moving object is very easy by switching the mode button with one click the speed is displayed clearly on the screen. The rangefinder is very compact and light to hold. Stored in a good strong case that will protect it from accidental knocks. This is a value for money piece of kit and I am sure it will help me improve my golf.

Good bit of kit but not legal for competition Golf.
There is no doubt this is a good range finder, feels good, rechargeable, easy to use and comes in a good case. However they say it doesn’t have slope but for me it does, it shows the length of all sides of the imaginary triangle as well as the degree, meaning it gives every bit of distance, so downhill use the adjacent distance. For me this gives too much information for competition Golf but would be a great bit of kit for practice and social golf.

No pin seeker feature
I am very concerned. I bought this product for golf believing it had a pin seeker feature. See the questions and answers for it and you will see it mentioned. When I got it I can find no mention of it in the instruction manual. I have written a question and got no answer. Sadly I think I will have to send it back unless I can get clarification. Its sad because the product seems good in other ways sturdy, good delivery etc.

Quality product at a good price.
My second TackLife product, like the last one, it seems very well made and comes well packaged in environmentally friendly plain cardboard box, with foam lining in the lid to protect it. It comes in a nice hard case with orange edging, with one side to keep the rangefinder in, and the other side to keep the supplied usb charging cable and cleaning cloth in.The rangefinder itself feel nice in the hand, and has a nice bright, clear image, as a glasses wearer I have to remove my glasses to see the full image, but the dioptre adjustment allows me to adjust it to a sharp image, even with my prescription. Lots of information displayed in the viewfinder, distance (in imperial or metric), height, vertical and at an angle to the top of a point. Angle measurement, speed. Seems to measure everything you could need. I bought it for shooting rather than golf, to double check distances I've been estimating at the range. It should be excellent for that. The casing of the rangefinder looks like it has rubberised grips, but it isn't, it's all plastic, but it is well finished, and seems like it will stand the test of time. The imitation rubber grips do give it a look of quality. It does come with a wrist strap too, should you want to use it. It also has a standard tripod mount in the bottom, should you wish to mount it on a tripod.I did look at other rangefinders, what drew me to this one is that it is rechargeable, where lots of the others seem to use CR2 batteries, which aren't particularly cheap (not sure how long they'd last), but with this, you just plug into a usb port to recharge it.Seems good value for money, and backed up by being bought from Amazon, should you need any support in the future.Golf Rangefinder, Tacklife 800m/875yd MLR01 Laser Range Finder USB Recharge with Continuous Measurement Magnification 7 X 24mm IP54 187g/Accuracy - 1m Distance/3km/h Speed/1° Angle

Great build quality an really easy to use but not suitable for Golf!
Pros:- Great build quality- Good size and good accompanying case- Very simple and easy to useCons:- Not suitable for golf! I consider myself to have a steady hand and really struggled to check the distance of any flag from almost any distance. I have used other more expensive rangefinders which have a pin seeking function which eradicates this issue. It ended up taking so long to actually try and check the flag distance that it became a hindrance to my gameOverall I'm sure this would be well suited for walkers/ hunters/ checking car speeds ect but I would not recommend for golf unless you wish to spend the majority of your game trying to hold your breath, in an attempt to be super steady, to then get an incorrect flag distance checkThis product was returned.

Great range finder
Works just like it should. Less cost of any other. Measures speed is a bonus. While checking on the speed measurement is a car that we know to be correct it was pretty close. You really have to hold it study to get it to read. Aim for license plate, or center mass on car head on, or directly going away from you. Set my buddies radar/laser detector off!And can also be used for hunting and golf .

Great little range finder.
Great range finder and very accurate. However I bought it for golf and since it doesn’t have a pin locator, it’s a bit tricky to get a correct distance from 200 yards +. However when your within that distance and with a steady hand, you can get a distance. Also I have done a few range tests and it’s certaily accurate.

Unlucky to get a dud one..
waited eagerly for it and when it eventually arrived....Didn't work at all....Not a peep out of it..Thought it might be the battery so charged it up to full charge and still nothing when tried to switch it on...Just my luck to get a faulty one...Amazon immediately sent me a returns label to send it back.. Have seen some good reviews so might send for another one and try again...

will not find flag
unless there is nothing behind the flag (which is very rare) this range finder will only identify items beyond the flag.

Not for golfers
Bought this less than 7 days ago and it's going back. Yes sturdy, yes looks great and is easy to use but NOT for golf. Distances vary wildly and it has no pinseeker feature.

IS NOT LEGAL IN GOLF COMPETITIONS
Fairly decent bit of kit, especially for the price. However it DOES have slope reading on it which, from what I can see, cannot be turned off thus it IS NOT LEGAL IN GOLF...
