I've used it daily for couples cooking. Let's me make big enough meals to precook and store food to make things easier during the week with just a baker's rack for a kitchen. This fits on my 18 by 24 counter just fine so it will fit in just about any kitchen. You can place the base on the dinner table and cook in the kitchen. Skillet works just like the older ones, because of the legs on the bottom of the skillet. The skillet legs line up and just drop right into the base.

This is a big skillet for a large family or crowd. Its a perfect gift to give someone special or even to buy for yourself. Plugs in from either side. Very versatile with extras. It heats evenly. Mine was the red color. A great value. Easy to use.

Needs thicker heating base to even out hot spots. I don’t know if one that does though.

When did these things get so pricy? I decided it would make life easier when cooking for a houseful and started checking prices. Shocked at what used to be a ubiquitous and inexpensive kitchen appliance. But I managed to happen upon a sale which made it easier to just hit the button.Truthfully, I used it like half an hour after it was delivered! Washed it and away we went. It reached the desired temperature quickly. It cooks fairly even, although you can see boiling bubbles over the areas where the element is located. Stirring is all that’s needed to ensure everything cooks.I know the instructions say that you can wash it in the dishwasher, but honestly I’m nervous to do that. Also it would take up half the space in the dishwasher. So I cleaned it myself and that was plenty easy. Storage is a consideration as it is pretty large. But I managed to find a spot for it.I’m looking forward to using it during the upcoming holiday season, especially when you have several people cooking at the same time and it’s too crowded right in front of the stove.I did pop a breaker running this, the stove, a craft light, and my air fryer all at the same time! So maybe be mindful of what all you have going.I love that the pan portion can be removed and taken to the table to serve directly out of. I imagine if it is reliabl and stays working a long time I will enjoy many years of cooking in it.

Purchased this for my mom and she loves it

This skillet replaced one that I had for 30+ years. I love the rather elegant shape, which is really nice. Because of its three piece design, the temperature control can be used from either side by simply reversing the cooking pan. The skillet is large, and heats evenly. I have only had it for a couple of months, but because we are remodeling our kitchen and I am currently without a cooktop or oven, it has been used almost daily, for everything from spaghetti to hamburgers to eggs and bacon. I can cook eggs in one end of this skillet and bacon at the other end. It works wonderfully for preparing chicken Alfredo, too. I laugh and tell everyone I feel like a new bride, learning to cook in a single skillet. Nothing sticks, and clean up is so easy; we just wipe it out with a sponge and a drop of Dawn. It would go in the dishwasher easily, too, but mine isn't installed. Probably won't use it for my skillet anyhow. Takes more time than hand washing does. We use only silicone utensils to avoid scratches. The glass lid has a vent, too, but I really love the way the heating unit separates from the base, almost like a chafing dish. It has legs that really add to the looks of this terrific dish if you want to take it to the table. Can you tell I love this item? Great design, excellent to cook with!
