I needed to refill some of my colors and this was a very affordable solution. The paints work very well and the colors are spot on.

It's a good gouache, good thickness and beautiful colors. What happens is that nobody needs all theses colors. Some are much alike the other. I bought it cause The only set of primary colors I found was more expensive than this one. Anyway, it would be interesting if they substitute 1 of the greens and 1 of the yellows for white.

I wasn’t previously familiar with the Elan brand but, as an art teacher, I am always interested in trying new brands to see if their paints are of good quality and good value. It’s difficult to keep a small art studio well stocked at economical prices. This set of 24 bottles of 2 ounces each of premium acrylic paint caught my eye and I was eager to give them a try.These paints are quite bright, smoothly textured and easy to apply. After trying them out myself and allowing a student or two to have a try, we haven’t found any watery bottles or gooey globs in any of the bottles. Overall, each color has been very consistent in quality and thickness. Each bottle has a flip top that allows easy pouring and safe sealing.The set of 24 colors includes: Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber, Raw Sienna, Crimson Red, Scarlet Red, Vermillion Red, Rose Red, Grey, Cobalt Blue, Phtalo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Sky Blue, Yellow Ochre, Lemon Yellow, Mid Yellow, Deep Yellow, Titanium White, Pale Green, Sap Green, Phtalo Green, Emerald Green and Lamp Black.Priced at less than a buck-fifty per bottle, the high quality of the paints in this set makes it well worth the purchase price and a pretty good deal to boot. Currently Amazon is offering a $5 optional coupon at the time of this review which makes it an even better deal than usual.These paints are clearly above average quality, especially for economically interested artists and excellent for use by children, novices, students and recreational painters. As with most acrylic sets, these paints are non-toxic. Even with average or standard quality brushes these paints go on well on the first coat and perform even better if professional quality brushes are used. The acrylics blend well, dry quickly and will retain their color with proper preservation. I always recommended using a spray sealer after a few days to properly preserve an acrylic painting.Artists can use these paints on canvas, panels, wood, stones, ceramics, or just about any surface. For the purposes of this review, my students have only used these on canvases and canvas panels.This set includes only the 24 bottles of paint which surprised me just a little bit since many acrylic paint sets these days also include some kind of a bonus such as a set of brushes or maybe even a plastic blending knife and/or palette. However, considering the amount of paints, the variety of colors and the high quality of the acrylics, the lack of extras doesn’t detract from the overall value at all.

These are the worst oil paints I’ve ever bought in my 68 years. I swear there is more oil than paint in the tubes. The oil literally runs down the canvas and that is with every single color I apply weather it’s straight up or mixed colors together. It’s so thin that it’s basically transparent on my canvas. I’ll stick with my Belgium oils from now on. I wouldn’t even give these to my 12 year old granddaughter to practice with. In the trash they go! If I could give 0 stars, you bet I would!!! (I thought about setting them upside down to drain so much oil, but the paint is so thin that it will ooze out with the oil.

These were bought for a paint party and were ideal. Would buy again

This paint is quite smooth. The pigments are a bit strong but the paint is great for lower quality design
