I've used this stuff twice now and been disappointed both times. I will never use it again.The first time I used it was on a kids bike frame which i had painted and then wet sanded to be as smooth as possible. I applied the clear coat and it came up with a really nice glossy shine that i was pretty happy with. I didnt bother wet sanding or polishing because i was putting a protective film over the top about a week later. When the film went on it lifted back up in some places and seemed to rip the surface of the clear coat off leaving white smokey patches all over it! Maybe it was still soft underneath or maybe it hadnt adhered to the paint which i had sanded with 800 grit. I suspect that if i ever take the film off the bike frame most of the clear coat will come with it.The second time i used this stuff was on a guitar headstock. I had applied a waterslide decal and then a few very light coats of 1k rustoleum clear, then 2 heavier ones. I sanded it flat to hide the edge of the decal which worked nicely, then put this stuff over the top, hoping for a tougher, glossier finish. After applying it the edge of the decal reappeared so i can only assume the solvents in this can melted the 1k clear and then affected the decal, maybe making it shrink slightly. I tried to wet sand and polish after 2 days, got rid of the orange peel but i couldn't get it back to a shine. The surface ended up tacky instead so i think the polish melted this allegedly 2k clear coat!! I havent dared to try any more polishing. Think I'm going to sand the whole thing back to bare wood and start again.So, its softer than 1k, never seems to fully harden, and will potentially ruin whatever you are trying to finish! Definitely cannot recommend.

Not 2 part spray. Just seems like any other clear coat.

As mentioned in previous reviews, this product isn't standard 2k as there is no activation required.I used it to spray a hard top, which is a very large item and it required both tins to cover.Got a few runs on vertical surfaces, but that's down to my inexperience, it does give a good glossy finish which will hopefully look better once it's fully cured with some light wet sanding + compounding.But for the price, it's grand.Mine was dry within 24hrs to touch, but not dry enough that I would handle given that it's a heavy part.I'm intending to leave for 72 hours before moving it.Likely leave it a month before trying to flat the surface and sand the runs.I would imagine the issues people are having with drying are due to not shaking the cans, I heated them up and shook for 5 minutes.Between the two tins I was able to get 1 light tack coat and 2 heavy slow coats.I'm not sure how much better something like proXL 2k or Clear Max 2K clear coat is, but only reason I'm not giving this one 5 stars is it's slightly mis-leading advertising this as 2k when it's really a 1 part product that's pre-catalysed.

Best rattle can clear imo

I used another clear coat on my old cobra that I had, but I found I could not get a good gloss until I foundyour HB Professional Clear coat |Aerosol . In was the miles the best clear coat that I haver ever used.I have now used it again on the rear spoiler that I have just fitted to my of my latest car my Mustang and I can not praise it enoughnice to have a product that you can trust .
