The item was very durable & lightweight, comes with a shoulder strap which is convenient extra for carrying. I can't comment on how waterproof it is. I have my document stored in it and then placed the whole thing inside my safe.

I did not want a bulky huge item. So.... I guess it works well for the few things i wanted to put in it. Extra space would be nice for a laptop.. Not worth getting into.. I do like it either way.

PROS:(1) The messenger/laptop style for this fireproof bag is ideal for grabbing documents in an emergency.(2) I was impressed with the amount of organizational features that this bag has, including dividers.(3) This would be a great option for storing full size documents and smaller items (birth certificates, passports, etc).
