STURDY COVERS EST. 2015Sturdy Covers AC Defender - Full Winter AC Cover Outdoor Protection

I needed a 28”x28” cover for my ac condensing unit. We get a lot of snow and rain here and I wanted to help my new ac unit last longer. The AC Defender cover is Very heavy duty and has some thoughtful features that make installing it extremely easy. It’s just a bit larger than the stated dimensions, allowing placement to be very easy. The corner click buckle and strap secures it to the unit so it should be very safely tied down in high winds. It also has a cinch strap that tightens it up after you place it on the unit. I added an inexpensive upside down plastic bowl on the top of my ac before installing the cover, just to help snow and water slide right off.

Quick delivery, thanks, appreciate that....First impression of the product: They're made of sturdy material; almost perfect fit; like the quick latch buckle, tightening tie cord is also handy.I recommend this for anyone that wants to protect their outside air units. I tried to cover mine with tarps and had the hardest time folding and holding the tarps down. These covers fit almost perfectly and it took all of 5 minutes to install. Don't waste the money and time on tarps and other products.

Decent product... would buy again.This review is based on only one season's use. So far, I am happy with this product overall. To me, the material seems durable and is appealing to the eye for what it is. The fit and finish are good and the sizing was accurate and came in as advertised. I had a hard time finding a cover to match my unit as it is a 36 x 36 x 36 and this one dropped on and fit nicely. The advertised size is 37 x 37 x 40 and the extra lengths worked out well, allowing me to easily install and secure the cover.It endured a bitterly cold Michigan winter in a heavily wind swept area - no tears or splits are apparent. Having only used it for one season so far, I would have to say at this point that I am happy and would purchase again.Now... some discussion about what could be better.The corner slot where the refrigerant lines and electrical conduit protrude from did not have (in my opinion) an adequate means of closure. It secures with a single buckle at the bottom which didn't really hold the corner opening closed all that well. I bought a kit and installed brass grommets to better close up the corner opening. See picture for details. Regarding the product warranty, it appears these guys are confused about their own warranty. I added some pictures of pages out of the owners manual that came with the cover. I think it is great that it came with such documentation, but it needs to be better written (not terrible though). So, is the warranty 3 years or 6 years? See pictures for details. Another thing I noticed, is that my cover is starting to noticeably fade already. We haven't had that much sun yet - it's only April. Not a deal killer. The durability and warranty (whatever it is) trump the fading. The cover comes with a drawstring around the bottom that is supposed to be used to secure the cover. It may or may not work well - I ignored it and used bungee cords to hold mine on instead. With the high winds, I felt more secure using the bungee cords. (See picture for details. You can see the yellow cord near the bottom). Out of the five pictures I submitted, two show the whole cover installed. One is when it was first installed last fall. Color is nice new, dark black. The other was taken at the beginning of April '19.The color is lighter from fading but the integrity is still there.OK - I'll wrap up this review with some closing statements. Yes, I would buy again. I like the ventilation window and the fit and finish are good. The price was reasonable as well. Very fair pricing compared to others. Someone needs to review and edit/correct the owners manual (see pictures). Perhaps some Velcro to close up the corner slot would be an improvement also. Material feels high quality with good durability. Despite the minor imperfections, this product deserves the good reviews it has been getting. If your looking for a cover - this one is worth taking a look at.*UPDATE TO REVIEW as of June of 2022...I am downgrading my original positive review to 2 stars. The product proved to have a short service life and did not demonstrate the level of longevity it should have. After only 4 Michigan winters, the cover was severely faded and was tearing. Fading is not a big deal but tears are. Also, I detected evidence of water intrusion after the 3rd season. Water repellent is essential for a cover like this and this cover came up short. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT. I will post some additional pics shortly to show the tearing I am talking about. More to come.

Easy to install. Perfect fit for the A/C condenser. Made out of thick material. Nice that it has a vent, drawstring bottom and snap together fittings to snap under the A/C piping. Looks very nice and looks very durable. My A/C is round but this square cover still works very well.

Ordered 32" x 32" x 36" in slipped on very easy thanks to the sturdy clips at the bottom. Advised others I know, that don't usually even cover theirs to get one of these. Almost bought one at HD but I'm glad I didn't. It was close to twice the cost and didn't feel to be as thick of material. Easy on and off when the weather changes.Just a little advice; don't use your AC without removing ANY AC cover.Scott

I have only placed it on my AC unit to make sure it fits and have not actually used it yet. However, I am impressed with the design of the cover (a slit that goes over the unit's pipes/hoses, the buckle to snug it up around the pipes/hoses, and the heavy draw string to tighten it at the bottom) It was well designed. I also like the fabric used for this cover; iIt is heavy and I think it will do very well this winter in my snowy area.

My toddler boys cant help but grab things off my large ooni table. This fits the table snug and keeps my kids away from my grilling tools

I use this product to cover my pool heater. It is made with a heavy duty material that I am sure will last for years, unlike my previous cover which only lasted a year and a half. It also has a tie down strap near the bottom which I secured to my water line to prevent the wind from blowing it away. I highly recommend this cover.
