Impact drivers are ideal for driving large fasteners like lag bolts through porches and other thick materials. With the Milwaukee M12 Impact Driver, you’ll be getting top-of-the-line performance in a compact package. You’ll be able to drive what you need while maintaining control with the greatest amount of comfort. Its rubber-molded pistol grip increases friction between the tool and your hand, enabling optimal handling in slippery conditions. Beyond the comfort, there are tons of features packed in here that make it a step above the competition. Most powerful of all is the unit’s motor. It can drive fasteners with up to 1,000 inch pounds of torque at 2,500 revolutions per minute. With such a lightweight unit, this is tremendous power. There are also internal electronics that allow cross-communication between the tool and whichever M12 Redlithium battery is powering it. This allows the tool to monitor itself for overheating, and it powers down before it can be damaged, a feature unheard of in other 12 volt impact drivers. Beyond that, you get LED lighting on the front to brighten your workspace, and an LED fuel gauge on the side to let you know how much work you can do on your charge. Wherever you work, with Milwaukee by your side, you’ll be getting the job done properly.

Housing cracked after less than 8 hours of use
The metal housing on the bottom portion of the nose cracked in under 8 hours of use. Was not misused or abused. Only used it to drive 1-5/8" deck screws while installing privacy fence. My return window with Amazon ran out 2 days ago

If you keep the battery size in mind one of the best impact drivers you can buy
I am very happy with this driver. For the weight I've found it's strong enough to do the vast majority of the things I ask it. In the rare occasion it's not been up to the task I have my trusty corded driver that will power through anything.I have two of these, one for the house and one for my RV (to run the levelers and such) and haven't had a second thought about either.Under constant use I've not gotten 2 hours out of the batter, maybe 30 minutes? But, using this and the drill from Milwaukee with four batteries I never had to top working on a five hour project. Cycle the batteries through a single charger while I was building a small deck and they just kept going.I have the 18v Dewalt and while it lasts a lot longer (considerably larger battery) and drills a bit faster I find my hands don't get tired working with these M12 series tools. Being able to work longer hours it totally worth buying a few extra batteries.

Excellent Impact
I bought this to use at work. I then found that my big porter cable impact battery was bad so I went to using this lil impact, I have been amazed with this. Building a small deck around our pool to use different stairs then that rickity ladder they send with the pool. This thing has performed great. It has gotten a lil warm at times but that's because I am predrilling holes then taking the screws and putting around 15 to 20 in all at one time. Even my wife has been able to use this with out striping out the heads on the screws(which is amazing in itself). I would recommend this for any job. I do believe it would function great regardless of the size of the job.

Great price for a handy tool.
All my millwaukee tools are 18volt this being my first M12 product ever. So far it has been great very convienant, durable, and perfect in size for the house. And at less than the HD plus a battery is a super good deal. I'll definitely keep buying Milwaukee 12volt tools by how great this one is.

great deal
Bought this driver for taking truck dashes and such apart fuel to its smaller size...been using it for about a week now and am pretty impressed with the build quality feels rugged. One thing that did catch me off guard however was on this listing it says condition is new... after looking at it for a while found there was a big sticker on the top that read remanufactured in Mexico this is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars...remanufactured is not new....but you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference

More noise than torque.
It really sounds impressive. It is so loud it must kick butt, right? Not so much. The first task I used this for was driving 3" screws into squeaky stair treads. It was seriously loud. But, it barely drove the screws in. This was even after drilling a pilot hole.I went back to my M12 series Milwaukee drill/driver. The regular drill did a better job. While I had to push harder on the drill than the impact driver, it was much faster.I started using it on drywall screws with a drywall bit. While annoyingly loud, it does this job well.

Got it from “A to Z Tools”
Updated on 11/15/19: I’ve used this drill for drilling dozens of holes in sheet rock and for making drainage holes in ceramic cache pots for my houseplants. So far no issues. Excellent value for the price.Original review of 9/21/18: Got it in time for same day arrival. Haven't tried this drill yet but i have borrowed the same one in the past and its a fantastic piece of equipment. 4 stars for the odd way it arrived - no box or manual, unnecessary but if it’s new and if it means getting it at $38 then I’m not terribly bothered. Also had a couple of cosmetic knicks but I’m assuming its new from mfg but sold at discount bc someone dinged it along the production line. I’ll update once I install the curtain rods and dining table, which is why i got it in the first place.

On my side for every job.
My original 2462 has never failed me for over three years using it on jobs ranging from convention setup/teardown to hotel renovations. I thought it took a walk on a recent job, and I immediately ordered another one to replace it. Luckily, I only misplaced it, so my older one has been retired to home use only, and the new one is now in my work bag. However, I don't know what kind of racket it is in which I simply get a tool shipped in a plastic bag in a plain box. No Milwaukee paperwork, box, or information whatsoever. Hmmm...

Reliable tool
I had an old version of this impact drill just before I bought this one so it is very easy to compare boths. Many improvements have been made, namely a light has been added so when you work with it you see what you're doing. Also, this one has variable speed and gives better precision and control. Overall, I like this tool very much. I use it a lot. My old one lasted at least 10 years and I'm sure this one will do the same.

Exactly as described.
Bought to replace the same thing I wore out from heavy use. Love this for driving screws and removing small bolts. Have plenty of M12 batteries so I only needed the bare tool.

Wish I didn't buy not for carpenters
Very slow and week im q carpenter and this drill can barely drive a 3" screw. Its super loud and and basically useless for a job site. The good notes are its light and batterys are small (don't last long)

potencia
es potente ligero y cómodo para reparaciones caseras, como tengo varios herramientas M12 con baterias y cargadores, es muy economico comprar la herramienta sola.
