Completely silent? No. Useful? Absolutely. Bought this because I started to realize with all the defect worries I hear about the Switch, every time mine becomes audible it's working extra hard and getting very heated.This alleviates the issue so you can play without worrying AS much. You will still feel heat from the heat sink but that's normal. The fans do their job perfectly.EDIT: Removing a star and going down to 3. A defect in one of the fans occasionally makes the motor catch and make a lot of noise while struggling to spin one of the fans which makes it extremely loud and sound like it's about to break. I've opened up the unit to see if there's an issue and nothing is present, meaning it's a wiring/power issue. I've let it go for quite a while but it's starting to bother me enough that I can't recommend this anymore and plan to find a different dock fan.

The fit of the fans to the Switch is great. I am okay with the length of the USB cable. The fan seems to push air to the Switch instead of drawing air away from the Switch - not sure that is the most effective way to keep the Switch cool. The one (real) gripe I have is that the fans do not have an auto on/off - you have to manually turn the fans on/off. I would MUCH rather prefer that it knows when the Switch is in the dock and turn the fans on.

Great accessory!I was going to buy the Nyko Dock Fan but after several shipping delays I decided not to wait any longer. Ordered this model instead and I must say I'm very impressed!It's a perfect snug fit when you plug it into the back of the switch. Air flow is surprisingly good considering it's size. You can hear it slighlty if your TV is on low but it doesn't take away from the entertainment whatsoever. Worth it if you're like me and want peace of mind, my switch gets pretty warm after extended play and this puts my mind at ease.Just make sure you thoroughly dust your dock and area around it prior to use, and occasionally after installing it so your switch doesn't become a giant dust bunny.

Works great and pushes a good amount of air into the Nintendo switch. Is always on as long as its plugged into the base station. Only negative thing is it is very audible. When you have nothing on like the TV or anything you can hear the fans going. But it's not super loud just a hum in the background. But it works great.

This is great I’ve been playing for 5 hours and I’d worry the switch overheated it did ._. But then I found this and bought it I love the three settings it off, turbo, normal. Simple instal just goes on the dock space in the back and your set to go now my switch doesn’t over heat and it’s not that loud

It’s okay but im getting mixed results, sometimes I feel this makes it much worse and sometimes it makes it better. The product itself is fine I just have yet to really see much benefits. Honestly I don’t think there is much benefit to having this. All I can say is: buy with caution.

Well it's a Good Product But I expected the fans to blow more air but I guess that's fine how it is so I'm Just gonna give it 4 stars because I'm unsure if it's normal or it's defective

Si tratta sostanzialmente di 3 ventole, di circa 37mm di diametro, montate su una struttura che si incastra, senza alcuna fatica, sul retro della dock del Nintendo Switch, il tutto, completamente in plastica nera, alimentato con cavo USB da collegare ad una delle due porte presenti nella dock.Il funzionamento è semplice ma, purtroppo, non automatico, nel senso che bisogna accenderla e spegnerla manualmente al bisogno, selezionando con l'apposito interruttore, le modalità off/normal/turbo. Sia in normal che turbo non è assolutamente rumorosa, anche perchè il flusso d'aria non è certamente un tornado, ma sempre meglio della ventola interna della console.Segnalo che il connettore USB non è come da foto pubblicitaria ma, almeno nel mio prodotto, è girato al contrario, con il cavo che, purtroppo, esce verso l'alto (e non verso il basso), cosa che mi costringe ad utilizzare forzatamente la porta USB superiore della dock; niente di disastroso ma pur sempre scocciante, visto che mi serve spesso collegare e scollegare cavi USB di lunghezza differente, per i vari controller, e avrei preferito avere libera la porta superiore, più accessibile.Visto il prezzo, è comunque consigliabile, per tenere fresca una console che non ha tra i punti a favore la dissipazione del calore.

Premetto che in quanto fan Nintendo, ho avuto a cuore il fatto di dover raffreddare di più la Nintendo Switch, che tutti sappiamo che ha una buona potenza, ed essendo molto compressa (di fatto non è altro che un tablet con una certa resa 3D) in più, ponendola all'interno della sua Docking Station, non fa altro che contribuire al suo riscaldamento, avvolgendola di fatto in un cubo di plastica.Detto questo, fiducioso ho acquistato il suddetto Cooler.Ho effettuato personalmente dei semplici test per verificare quanto contribuisca nel raffreddare la console, e munito di una piccola sonda termica, ho posto il suo sensore direttamente sulla griglia di uscita dell'aria, verificandone la temperatura.Potete giudicare voi stessi guardando le foto che allego.Ottengo una temperatura di circa 50.3°C con il cooler spento.Ottengo una temperatura di circa 51.6°C con il cooler acceso su "Turbo"Test effettuati durante il medesimo scenario di Splatoon 2 a distanza di 5 minuti uno dall'altro nelle medesime condizioni.Cosa significa? SempliceUna maggior temperatura esterna sull'uscita dell'aria, di soli 1.3°C mostra che il cooler effettivamente fa qualcosa, espellendo un maggiore calore dalla console... ... Ne vale davvero la pena però?
