Egg Shape Silicone Cake Mould, Cake Decoration, Chocolate Baking Mould for parties

With the grandchild watching cooking for children videos on YouTube. One caught his attention. This mould is exactly what we need to make our own chocolate eggs.

I use these as a mould to make vegan eggs from tofu, kala namak/sulphuric black salt and gelling/setting agent. I scoop out the middle with a spoon once set, and fill with "yolk" made from an instant mash and kala namak base, flavoured/coloured with, amongst other things, turmeric and mustard. I have also used the moulds to make various chocolate Easter eggs, hollow and filled. Fillings are easy to pop out of the moulds and have good non-stick qualities. They are also really easy to clean in the sink or dishwasher.

I used this mould to make egg shaped hot chocolate bombs for Easter. They are easy to use and the chocolate shells were easy to use but when you fix two halves together, you don't really get an egg shape. They will have a use for other products but I wouldn't recommend them for hot chocolate bombs.

Although these look like they will make eggs, when you try and stick them together, they actually resemble more onigiri, triangular shape! They would make great half eggs, but if you want to make an Easter egg, these will not work at all.The silicon works well and my husband has suggested I instead change the half egg to make little mice.Such a shame as I was hoping to use them to make hot chocolate eggs for my friends birthday. Wish I had just got a standard sphere as these won’t work now :(
