good quality
This works great. I have an old house with poor lighting, or maybe sparce lighting or electrical outlets would be a better description. I keep this in my bedroom to find beads or other things I have dropped or to research things that go bump in the night. It came with a charge & I topped it off. I have not had to charge it again even though I have used it a lot, mostly to take the dog out to pee at night. It has been rained on many nights because we are having a wet winter here, but I have not gotten it wet other than that, so I cannot speak to how it would do if submerged.

Wow! very bright and feels heavy and good in the hand
The light is very bright and has a good distance. The battery lasts for a long time. I like the option of using AAA's or recharge it with a usb.

Wicked bright
This flashlight has a nice feel to it. It's a little longer and heavier than some similar machined aluminum tactical lights, but if light weight and compact size are not huge priorities, you might like it.On many lights of this type, the on/off switch is on the butt of the light, requiring you to use two hands to turn it on and off (unless you have really nimble hands). This flashlight has the on/off switch in the "traditional" location by your thumb, which is very nice.I do not like having to click through five "settings" - high, medium, low, flash and SOS - to turn this flashlight off. I own a tactical flashlight that toggles between on and off with a single click - while it will never save my life by sending out a SOS when I am stranded on a desert island, I am happy to live with that risk in exchange for the convenience.I really like the charge indicator lights on this flashlight. When the flashlight is on, the four indicator lights next to the on/off button indicate the state of the charge. When the flashlight is plugged in and charging, the four lights blink, telling you both that the battery is charging and how far along in recharging it is.I appreciate that the flashlight ships with a rechargeable 18650 2000mAh 3.7v lithium ion battery, and a USB to USB-C cable to recharge it in the flashlight. (The Amazon description suggests you can also charge it via the standard USB jack located next to the USB-C jack, but I did not test that.) I plugged a USB cable into the standard USB jack on the flashlight and found that the flashlight would charge my iPhone 13. Also included is a cartridge that holds three AAA batteries that can be inserted in place of the rechargeable battery. This allows you to carry along the cartridge to use in case the rechargeable dies before you can recharge it. I compared the beam with both power sources and found, not surprisingly, that the flashlight was brighter when operating with the rechargeable battery. Finally, at its narrowest beam setting, the beam is not focused on as small of an area as most similar lights I have used. For example, other tactical lights I have used would light up something the size of a car at 40 yards, while this this light at 50 yards would light up an area about 10 times that size. I am not saying this is necessarily a good or bad thing, but it makes me wonder it this flashlight could be improved with a narrower beam at the narrowest setting. At wider beam settings, it is a beast - super bright over a surprisingly large area.I started this review thinking I would give this flashlight three or four stars, but the longer I played around with it, the more I leaned toward four or five.REVISION 12/13/2023: The paragraph above about having to cycle through the settings to turn this light off is incorrect. You can turn it off with a long press on the power button. I changed my rating from 4 to 5. This is a very good, very bright tactical flashlight.

Powerful Outdoor Flashlight
This flashlight has a very strong beam that can blind someone if pointed directly at them. Five modes of beam that can cycle or you press the switch for a few seconds and it turns off. There is a cartridge to use non rechargeable batteries, however the chargeable battery should last long. It can charge phones etc. Lanyard to hold safely or hang on belt etc. Very good sturdy build to last long and waterproof for outdoor use. The focus can be zoomed in or out easily. This is almost 10 inches long and a bit heavier than most smaller flashlights but the battery life and brightness/distance illuminated is great. Best rechargeable flashlight that I have seen so far.
