Shut Down 2

Had to chuckle about the name of this album. There was no Shut Down volume 1. Nevertheless, am enjoying it. I have most of these songs already but they are on records going back to the early 60s and not in good shape. This is a good pressing worthy of my big stereo and MC cartridge.

A great classic album by the greatest American band ever & in superior hi Rez sacd sound.

I was disappointed the album was not the STEREO version as pictured. Returned for full refund.

The quality of this pressing is staggering. The sound is so much superior to any other version & the cover just has to be seen. As far as the album itself. The first albums can be a bit frustrating. The albums are short to begin with & some of them repeat tracks from other albums, others (like this one's CassiusLove vs Sonny Wilson) have spoken word selections. But in between are songs to take your breath away, songs that are just really good and probably the worst version of Louie Louie recorded by a major recording act, maybe matched only by the Kinks version. Despite the flaws it's still an essential album made so by Warmth Of The Sun, Keep An Eye On Summer, Fun,Fun,Fun & Don't Worry Baby all among Brian's best & the Analogue Productions version is absolutly the finest version available. I chose the mono version as that is the way Brian made it to be heard.
