I don't know what kind of luck others have with bargain ink refill companies and their products, but I have always found that it is better to stay with the original equipment offered by the company which manufactures your printer.I have had, and continue to have ,the best results from Epson ink cartidges.Regardless of my purchasing a single cartridge(they don't all go empty at the same time)or combo -packs like the one pictured above,Epson ink cartridges always give me consistently great performance and beautiful pictures.I would not buy anything else!

I have an Epson Stylus CX4800 All-in-One (printer, copier, scanner), and while there are cheaper ink cartridges available, like refilled or remanufactured ones, I prefer to purchase the Epson brand to make sure it's compatible with my printer. I go through ink pretty quickly, so I've compared the prices of major online retailers/office suppliers, and found Amazon.com to have the best prices. So far, I have not had any problems: the cartridges fit, and my printer has no problem recognizing them; as soon as my printer is done reading the new cartridge, it updates my ink supply level to full.

The color ink in these cartridges seems excellent to me, a non-specialist in colored ink. The good news is that you only replace just the ink color that runs out in your Epson printer, avoiding the need to throw away unused ink in single cartridges that hold 3 colors, and maybe even black, too. It is also very easy to replace cartridges.The bad news is that, in Epson (and other) printers, you can't print even just black text if any one of these colors runs out. So you are forced to keep supplies of all four colors installed in your Epson printer at all times if you want to use it at all, even if you have no prospect of printing in color in the near future.These little cartridges are expensive, and it is obvious that Epson is making its profits on ink cartridges and not on the cheap printers most people use. The whole system is inherently unfriendly to the environment, as there is such a lot of waste in disposing of these complex little electronic cartridges once the ink is gone from them.The obvious thing to do would be for Epson to sell just replacement ink to pour in to recepticles for each color when they are empty or nearly so. Some environmentally friendly way of keeping the ink channels unclogged would be needed then, but hey, they'd still make a lot of money selling ink and ink channel cleaner. Is this rocket science?

The ink is great, however I lost my entire purchase price when the cable that moved print head broke shortly after replacing $40.00 worth of Ink. It would cost too much to repair, so I got a replacement. Unfortunately, none of the replacements available used the same ink. Not only that, the new ink is not as good as the old ink and print quality is poorer. Epson though comes out ahead in taking my money!

First printing was gray. So I put a new black in. Still gray. But a couple more times it is black when it is suppose to be black now and I haven't tried color again. I am sure I hadn't used it for a while. Outside boxes looked awful but they inside package was sealed good. Just looked old.

I print out a lot of greeting cards on my Epson CX4800 and the colors always turn out nice and bright but not too bright. I tried the no-name brand "refills" and the quality is awful! I only spend about $85 a year on the colored ink, including the black. Most printers will not work if even one colored cartridge is empty and Epsons are also like that. Don't know why if you're only printing black but I guess some of the colored ink is used with the black. Anyway, great product. Delivery by Amazon was very fast using standard shipping.

Glad that I am able to keep using my 10+-year-old (?) Epson Stylus CX4200, although the paper feed can be a bit cranky.I have tried refilled, refurbished, off-brand, cheaper (etc) ink cartridges and honestly, the only ones that work are the authentic Epson brand-new cartridges. I don't know how much longer they will make these, and Amazon is the only place that I have found them, but I will keep using this printer until that fateful day when the ink is no longer available.Contrary to another review, this is a box of brand-new, authentic Epson brand ink cartridges.
