Quality Chair, but...........
This chair is advertised as being super lightweight at less than 9kg which is the main reasonI choose it. I was a little disconcerted when I spotted that the packaging put the weight at 15kg.The packaging weighs about a kilo so the correct weight of the chair with footrests fitted is about 14kg.Certainly not super lightweight and heavier than others advertised at around 12kg.However, on the plus side this looks to be a very well designed and engineered chair. As yet I have nottaken my mother out in it but with cable brakes is ideal for those with any downhill journeys to make.Had this chair been 9kg as advertised I would have awarded it 5 stars for its quality but feelmislead by its advertised weight.

you get what you pay for.
the wheel chair itself is well made, sturdy, easy to store and light (a lot lighter and easier to hall about than Red cross rentals, or NHS. well worth the money. you can buy on of these for as much as 9 months rental.the breaks all needed adjustment on unpacking, fine for some one with a working knowledge of Bicycles but not for an 85yr old with arthritic fingers. the fixings for the parking breaks are of a cheap 'that'l do design' and will 'work loose' and or come adrift from the frame if not maintained.HOWEVER ... GOOD FOR THE PRICE.

Good Quality Wheelchair
This wheelchair has really made a difference to my elderly Mum's mobility. The wheelchair is sturdy, perhaps a little awkward to lift into a normal hatch back car but then the same could be said of any wheelchair. The only complaint from Mum is the fact that her back aches if she remains in the chair for too long, so we try to encourage her to walk even if just for short periods. The brakes on both the handles and wheels are an added bonus.

Solid good quality and a good price
Solid good quality and a good price. Needs a cushion for comfort. Fairly small wheels make it less good over cobbles. Hand brakes excellent.

Ok for price
So this is an update to my original 5 star review. After few months the brake cables broke. Got those fixed locally. Front wheel jammed much like a trolley wheel does sometimes. Once again got that fixed. All in all though it’s ok. Just don’t expect a Rolls Royce for the price of an Astra.

Better than expected!
Very impressed with this chair, other reviews helped my choice. It is a quality made item and has a bonus point for me.I am tall and will be pushing it. The chair is made higher than the normal NHS ones so i won't have to stoop when pushing. The foot rests are also higher from the ground so will help avoid banging feet on kerbs or other obstacles.I took off the seatbelt, not really needed unless you intend running.....lol

Short term use
This wheel chair was ok for short use and short term use. It is not that comfortable and every thing seems to work lose on it especially the brakes to the point that they dont work and just hang off. I would not reccommend it.
