Works better than OEM
Tried the DeWalt DCA1820, that thing got stuck in the tool so bad you had to pry the tabs with a screwdriver to get it out. Sent it back and ordered a pair of these. Perfection. Easy to apply and remove; if one tab "sticks" all you have to do is press up while holding the tabs and it clears easy. I would rather have the DeWalt but when OEM fails, what can you do.

Used to standardized batteries needed
Purchase to use alkaline batteries on old drill motor products. Seems light duty construction and flimsy connections but does work well. Hopefully I don’t have to move around often

Perfect fit - I'm using it for an unlisted/unintended use... so...
I am using this on an older Black and Decker tool to adapt 20V dewalt batteries. With a couple small modifications, it fits and works fine. I can't recommend it for use, as I'm not matching up voltages and had to make a couple other modifications to make it work as intended, but this adapter is well made, has the USB port on it and would be great for people who have the intended tools/batteries that it was made for.

Powers my DEWALT 18V ½” Impact Wrench
Probably 10 years ago now (if not longer), I bought a Dewalt 18V ½” Drive Impact Wrench. I made sure it turned on and I never used it. It just sat in my garage for years. Recently I was maintaining my vehicle and noticed my Husky pneumatic impact wrench was taking longer to get the lug nuts off my vehicle for the sole purpose of having to build air pressure. My compressor and impact wrench were a bundled deal from that big orange store. I was about to start looking for a new pneumatic one and then I realized I still had this impact wrench that I would see every time I opened this one drawer.I went searching for a battery and charger in my basement and found one. I tried to charge it but it wouldn’t hold a change and gave me a charging error.I have multiple Milwaukee tools from with their 18V batteries and remembered seeing something somewhere about battery adapters. A quick search brought me to this item from Waitley. A company I have only heard of making aftermarket batteries for power tools.I decided to give this a try and I’m happy I did. I was just able to use my Milwaukee M18v 5.0A battery to power my Dewalt Impact wrench. I was able to remove lug nuts from my SUV with ease. The only Con I personally saw to this item was trying to remove it from the tool. It seemed a bit difficult to to remove. Luckily I only have 1 tool for it so the adapter will stay in the tool and the battery will be removed. For $12 this is definitely a win.

Worked ok, but brand new Waitley battery fell off in use...
I recently bought a pair of the Waitley DCB206-2 20V/6AH batteries for my Dewalt tools. Saw this nifty adapter that would let me use the same batteries on my old 18V Dewalt reciprocating saw whose battery was long dead. The adapter latches into the Dewalt saw perfectly and seems very secure. Happy to have my saw back in working order, the adapter worked great on first use with one of my new Waitley batteries for cutting a couple of PVC pipes in the ground where I was removing old fence posts. However, just as the second cut finished the brand new battery leaped off of the adapter and fell into the fence post hole... Alas those fence post holes were full of muddy water 2 foot deep from jetting out the concrete. I had no expectations that the Waitley battery would be waterproof in the least, and it most assuredly is not... I disassembled it and cleaned it out with alcohol and compressed, air and while it still appears to work and charge, its cute little LED % charge display died on the operating table. I tested the other battery on the adapter and it falls off too under the vibration when operating the saw. I also tested a 2AH Dewalt battery in the adapter and it seems to latch more securely. In studying the latching mechanism of the Waitley battery and a Dewalt battery they sure seem identical. However, when placing the Dewalt battery into the Waitley adapter it engages securely and cannot be wiggled or vibrated out. Whereas when placing the Waitley battery into the adapter and wiggling it I can cause it to release without pressing the release button. I rate it as 3 stars, it works as intended and brings old tools back to life again without having to invest in new batteries for them, just beware when using it with Waitley batteries which may not engage as well as Dewalt batteries.
