This is a big help for my 89 yr old father. I’m glad it’s not huge as I don’t want him to feel he’s a baby needing a bed rail. Due to its perfect size, I told him it’s more for balance & to help him get up out of bed since he doesn’t have a lot of strength. I told him when the time comes & he needs a rail to help keep him in bed, we will order a bigger one so that made him feel better & not like a baby. It’s very sturdy. The light doesn’t seem to go on w/movement each time though charged but that’s ok. We did not use the strap & it works fine. My 85 yr old mom is able to change the bed sheets & move the rail but she needs his help when putting it back in between the mattress. This piece is definitely an asset for the elderly.

I am 78 and unwell and in bed a lot and I don’t think a seniors piece of equipment has made me as happy as this one. I had been grabbing the edge of the bed a lot to get out, which wasn’t very stable or safe. This bar once installed is very solid and doesn’t budge when I grab it. I didn’t realize until I got it that the light is motion light and it goes on by itself when I get up in the night to use the bathroom, turns off while I’m there and then when I come back to the door turns itself on. You do need to have a charger nearby and charge it maybe once a week. I attached the bag that comes with it to the handle and it doesn’t get in the way of grabbing the bar and it’s heavenly. My iPad goes in it, my glasses hang on the pockets, my air conditioner and TV control go in the pockets along with my iPhone and I’m no longer losing all of those things in my covers. I feel organized and calmer. I just can’t say enough about how helpful this has been to my life. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I was able to install it far enough down the edge of my bed that it didn’t hit my bedside table yet it was not in the way of getting out of bed. It’s really wonderful!

Really easy to put together...took about 5 minutes and another couple minutes to install on the bed. As to the value, it has been a wonderful assist device for my sister getting in and out of bed and scooting back and to the side in the bed. It's very very stable and I also like the motion sensor light. Worth its weight and gold I love it and my sister does too

Exactly as expected easy to assemble sturdy and safe

It works good for my grandpa. It's a wonderful assist for getting up and down from bed. It also stores his water bottle and remote control in the pocket. Plus his bed control remote hooks on easily and his portable urinal contraption as well. He doesn't like the light though, it shines in his face. But we just took that part down. Also,you really have to anchor it down good to the bedframe. Personally, we found zipties work awesome. Otherwise it will not hold, and they could fall getting in and out of bed. But used right, this is a must have tool!

Very sturdy. I had one before and it doesn't even compare to this one. My husband has Alzheimers and needs it to get in bed. He still likes to read, just doesn't remember, so the pouches are great for his book and glasses. I highly recommend this, you will absolutely love it for your loved one.

This was a gift for my FiL. He was not loving the idea of it when we installed it on his bedside for him but he called the next morning to tell us why it was the best gift ever. He said getting in and out of the bed was so much easier and he was not able to easily turn in the bed before but now he can. When he falls he can crawl to his bedside and use the rail to pull himself up off the floor.The light is a worthless piece of junk. Doesn't work like it is supposed to and constantly falls off

I LOVE this!!! I can get out of bed without help and the pockets hold several of my most used items. The motion detected light is great!! I can see my black dog, now, in the middle of the night. Best money spent!!It is sturdy and my daughter said it was easy to assemble.
