Dakine Women's Jewel Backpack, Juno, 26L

My daughter loves this new backpack! She is a college student and wanted a new, colorful, sturdy backpack with a computer pouch. This met all of her expectations and I picked the colors because they made me think or her:) She opened it and exclaimed that it was exactly what she wanted!It is a great size and the shoulder straps provide a very comfortable fit, even when full of heavy items.

Comfortable, but not practical for college. This is advertised as 9 inches deep, with 1.5 inches deep as laptop sleeve. In actuality, it is only 7 inches deep overall, so there is not enough room in the main compartment for several college binders and books. Another big drawback is that no compartment fits a graphing claculator. Arenʻt girls supposed to take math? Aweful oversight! The organizational pocket abover the cooler is too small in very dimension and the interior is not that well equiped to handle pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, etc, and it is also too small to fit a pencil case. Do not buy this backpack if you are in science or engineering. There ar eno interior pockets in the main compartment or laptop sleeve to further oraganize either.On the upside, the bag is very comfortable, if extraneously long. It really doesnʻt need to tbe 20 inches long, 18 would be sufficient and keep the bag off your pelvic bones, but it could stand to be several inches deeper. I do like the double waterbottle pockets on the sides which hold my thermos and bottles snuggly, not like my previous adidas bag that they fell out of anytime I bent or set the bag down. I can keep water, coffee, and lunch in the bag, which was why I got it. But it is just not deep enough for all the books plus no where for the calculator. If that front pocket was just one inch wider I could fit a pencil case and calculator.I ended up with an Osprey Nova, which has all the features I need plus a lifetime warantee. It is women specific, too.

I ordered this bag as one of my carry-ons for flying. It is awesome! I now use it as my camera/device bag as it is padded. I use it for exploring, walking paths, etc. It holds all of my camera gear, maps, water bottles, bear repellent, snacks, extra gloves, etc. The cooler pocket is deeper than I thought and that makes it even more awesome. I love the color and mainly all of the compartments. It is very comfortable to carry. I wouldn't mind having another one!

I've had this backpack for 5 years and it's still going strong. Dakine bags are amazing- great look, durability and functionality. Can't ask for more!

sturdy - but a little tight on space.....has been washed already - and came out in good shape....like new.

It's the right size, and a high quality bag! My daughter did a lot of research on backpacks before choosing this one - and we got it for her for Christmas. It's very cute too!

This pack is all that it was promised to be. Sturdy, great color, roomy, heavy duty fabric. Not a light weight fabric

Nachdem mein alter Rucksack von Dakine langsam auseinandergefallen ist, habe ich einen neuen gebraucht. Hierbei habe ich wieder das Dakine-Sortiment durchstöbert, weil ich die Gestaltung und die Aufteilung der Marke immer super finde. (Ich mag beispielsweise kleine Kruschfächer, weil man immer mal Kleinigkeiten in den Rucksack steckt, die man auch wieder finden möchte, wie Bonbons, Schlüssel, USB-Sticks, usw.)Der Rucksack sieht super schön aus, sieht trotz der Farbenvielfalt nicht zu kindlich aus und hat eine schöne Fächeraufteilung. Ich nehme ihn für die Uni, weil alles gut reinpasst.Er ist relativ flach, hat aber viel Stauraum in die Höhe.Am besten ihr sucht im Internet nach Videos, in denen der Rucksack bepackt wird. So kann man am besten herausfinden, welches Modell einem von der Fächeraufteilung am besten zusagt.

Wir hatten schon mit mehreren Kinder Dakine Rucksäcke und ich war mit dem Prom eigentlich zufrieden. Doch jetzt musste ich feststellen, es geht noch besser. Die Aufteilung ist super,es passt auch eine 1l Flasche (die man bei Nachmittagsunterricht auch braucht) 1A rein. Die Butterbrotdose hat ihren festen Platz und es ist genügend Stauraum vorhanden. Für die, die immer ihr Mäppchen vergessen, gibt es einen schönen Platz für die wichtigsten Schreibgeräte immer dabei zu haben, die auch an ihren Platz bleiben. Dazu ein Fach für die Fahrkarte und den Schülerausweis, der jetzt genug Platz hat um nicht zu verknicken. Alles gut durchdacht und sehr schön gelöst.

Der Rucksack ist eigentlich total super. Schön bunt, bequem auf dem Rücken, trennt Kleinkram von großen Dingen und vom Laptop nochmal separat. Leider ist die Abgrenzung zwischen Laptopfach und dem zweiten großen Fach aber schlecht genäht. Das Vorgängermodell hatte den gleichen Fehler, sodass der Rucksack dort anfängt zu fransen, was sich dann in den Reißverschlüssen von den beiden Fächern verhängt und zu viel Frust führt... Schade!

Der Rucksack ist super,aber den einen Stern weniger gibt es, weil die Farbe etwas dunkler und weniger kräftig war.
