Banks 53516 Extension Pipe Kit, 4""

Purchased item because it was Banks! Quality construction. Picture was misleading; I expected 20 - 22" overall length from viewing the product picture and referencing the 24" box shipping length. Banks website does not list a length measurement nor does the Amazon listing. The U-bolt clamp works well to seal the upset end but will crimp the ends of the 3/4" long slotted area at the tip of the upset. Product probably fits perfectly in the suggested application but I used it as extension pieces to install a 4040XL Jones Turbine Muffler on a 2014 Ram 6.7 Cummins with 4" Flow Pro exhaust by cutting 4" off and using upset end on inlet side and cut-off piece on outlet side to replace a roughly 30" existing extension piece.Credit to Summit Racing website for this Q&A. First thing is the product did not show up on the guaranteed date. Next is The product was way shorter then I figured by the images. It w is 17 1/2” long. Was expecting 36”. There was nothing that said what size the pipe was. I would have to order three of them to do what I need.
