The CIC shortie from TWF. features quality 3mm UV50 Titanium laminated soft and supple neoprene the suit is warm, protective, comfortable and facilitating maximum movement - great for children on the go! When fitting children, age on any size chart is a guide only. Always go by the actual measurements and dont be tempted to allow a little room for growth. Always use a fabric tape measure. For a shortie wetsuit the body length is the key measurement as you are fitting the torso. Please measure your child accurately and take in to account both the body length and the chest - especially if your child is bigger, smaller, stockier or slimmer than average for their age. The body length is measured from middle of throat, straight down the front of the body, to just between the legs (where seams cross mid crotch on a pair of trousers for instance). If in any doubt, we are more than happy to give advice . Our wetsuits have been chosen because they give a great fit on the majority of children IF the measurements are accurate - there will always be exceptions! If your child is tall and slim - the odds are that to fit the body length the chest may be loose - there is no way around this. Likewise if your child is of a shorter , stockier build - to get the chest to fit they may well have a suit that is slightly longer than they need. Comfort is the key . Whilst a suit should be snug it has to be wearable.

Kids love it
Got this for my skinny 2 year old for a holiday in wales. It is a little baggy on him, but slimmest fit wetsuit I could find. So he does get colder than a larger girthed kid would as he has new cold water going down his back or front now and then.He loved it though and getting him in the water was much easier than without it. Also, less need for wrestling with him to put sun cream on!I've also used this in our local swimming pool. Everyone complains how cold it is and being skinny, my boy gets blue lips after about 15 mins in trunks. In this he lasts the full hour no problem and has really started enjoying going to the pool.In terms of price, please note that on our way to Wales in the car, every service station we stopped by was selling kids TMF wetsuits for £10 along the M4.

Excellent item! My 5 yr old son loves it!
Excellent item. And a very happy 5 (son to be six) year old! My son is on the skinny side (runs in the family), loves to play about in water but gets put off quickly because he gets cold really quick. Recently started swimming lessons and after the 1st lesson he complained that ‘I’m so cold’.Researched and found this. Read the reviews and bought for his age! He is 104cm/40inches tall and the suitgave the right amount room for him. 22cm around the chest. (His actual chest is just under 20cm. He LOVES it, not as cold as he was before, more confident in the water, and now I can’t get him out of the pool!

Chest Measurement is key
Ended up with a 3-4 for our 2-3 year old going by measurements. Went for the size closest to the chest over the length and fits perfect. Already used in a swimming pool on holiday where they can get cold.

On the small side... but brilliant otherwise
These wetsuits are fab. Such good value for the price. I bought age 2-3 and 3-4 for my son who is nearly 4 as I wasn’t sure what size he’d need. He’s still in a lot of age 2-3 clothes and is on the small size for his age. I was surprised to need age 3-4!I’ll pass the smaller one on to family. It’s def worth keeping as such a good deal!

Nice quality wet suit
Firstly this is a nice quality value for money wet suit and the material is quite thick. It is okay to zip up yourself but the usual flap at the top of the zip causes sun to claim its a bit uncomfortable at first. My only complaint is the sizing isn’t the best these come up small. I ordered 11-12 for my 8 year old son and it only just fits.

A successful purchase
A nice suit and did the job well. Did rub a bit around my grandsons neck.But didnt seem to bother him just left a red mark. Sizing did come up a bit small but again he is a tall long bodied little boy. This will not prevent me from buying another one in the next size. Plus it looked fantastic and we had to literally fight to get it off him. A definite good buy. Only 4 stars because of the sizing

Just the thing.
Good quality! Fits quite small, so go by measurements not age. I got the 3-4 for my 2 and half year old. Not used it yet as its for our holiday but from what I can tell the quality is good, it fits nicely and I think it will keep my son nice and warm in the pool/sea.Also, he loves it cos he thinks he is a superhero.
