This ukelele sounds bright, projects the sounds well. Having bought the soprano version that we definitely loved, this tenor version sounds fuller with the continued bright sounds. The smooth texture of the lacquer that covers the ukelele contributes to its beauty. The frets are not harsh but well rounded. We also bought the Oscar Schimdt hardshell case because we wanted to preserve its beauty and longevity. Well worth its value.
