Good entry level shifter, but flaws to be expected at this price point
Overall, this is a great shifter for someone that is building an entry level sim rig. I do somewhat regret not purchasing one of the more expensive shifters, only because this one has some minor issues (which are totally justifiable at this price point). If you are looking for a decent, entry-level shifter, this is a good choice. Here are the two main things that will likely drive me to upgrade in the future:Sequential shifting on this is a pain. There is small plastic part with an even SMALLER attachment screw that you must fumble with in order to use the sequential mode. If you drop the screw into the housing, which is very easy to do given its size, you will need to get a stick magnet to get it out (I speak from personal experience). I eventually gave up on installing that part and now, when I need to use the shifter in sequential mode, I manually move the shift handle back into the neutral in between shifts. Its not ideal, but it works and is better than the alternative of constantly installing and uninstalling that little white plastic part. The shifter is loud, but that doesn't bother me. It feels way more authentic than a logitech wheel shifter, but still doesn't feel anything like a normal car.So far, it has been durable enough to hold up for a few months of racing and works just as good as when it came out of the box. Although, from a durability perspective, don't let your drunk friend sit in your sim rig and think he is running Le Mans - my buddy beat up on this thing, and I don't think it could sustain much more of that. I told him to calm down before he broke it.

Great Shifter!!
With some dampening modification it sounded so much better but that is preference. Product itself performed flawlessly.

Amazing.
Amazing!!!If you're on the fence about this, just buy it. Works a ton better than my logitech shifter.

Sound dampening and wear and tear prevention techniques
For what it is, I think it's a fair price. I will say you should consider finding ways to make mods for dampening the sound, and wear and tear from the rod rubbing up against the pattern plate. I started using heat shrink tubing for the rod itself, it's very effective but leaves debris over time. I also used foam tape for the inside housing, it dampens the reverb from metal on metal sound coming from the shifter banging up against the metal pattern plate. I also went to a 3d printing service in my city that was kind enough to custom print replacement pattern plates made with a more rigid tpu filament, it's probably the most crucial piece for dampening most of the sound the shifter makes. Consider this a small project for all you bored dads out there, because this experience actually taught me a lot and came out a great success after doing some research. Highly suggest buying it and going on the journey yourself.
