2 different ports are very useful.
This plug is very useful for charging two different things at once. My husband can charge his phone and headphones from the same socket in the morning (as his coffee kicks in) so hopefully he doesn't forget to take them to work with him.The plug gets a little warm (but not hot) while charging but I think this is pretty normal.
