How does this L size fit all the tyres shown on the list from195/14 to 235/18?

Hi will these fit tyre size 245/55/18

To be absolutely honest, I can't be sure about the size but it may help to know that my tyres are 225/45 R17 and the size L snow socks are a pretty tight fit, so I would think that you will need the XL for bigger wheels. I can say, however, that these snow socks have got me out of very serious trouble on two occasions and I would not be without them - I even have a spare set. They are for emergency use only but, as long as you use them just for getting out of trouble and don't try to drive on them for long distances at speed, they will last a very long time. But keep a pair of rubber gloves in the boot with them; otherwise your hands will become VERY dirty.

I have an x drive bmw, which means 4 wheeled drive. should these go on the front or back tyres?

I believe the socks have to go on the wheels that are driving the car. Which means you would need 2 pairs. You might be able to get away with one pair, but that would have to be a personal decision.
