Good gloves for DIY work
I don't normally wear gloves when working on my car, but I have decided that I should protect my skin a bit more when doing oil changes and other messy jobs. These gloves have been perfect during a recent oil change. They have decent grip and don't reduce dexterity too much, so dropping nuts and bolts is less likely. The fronts have a textured rubberised coating, but the backs are just fabric, so they are not waterproof but allow the skin to breathe and don't become sweaty during use.Size 9L fits me perfectly, the fingers are long enough, but they could possibly do with a little more wrist protection. Mine also came with brown trim around the wrists, which wouldn't have been my choice, but hey, it's DIY, not a fashion show!

For light work use and they are breathable
This review is for the Velway 12 Pairs Work Gloves Firm Grip Gardening Gloves Non-Slip PU Coated Safety Builders Gloves Lightweight Breathable Protective EN388 Mechanic Working Gloves for Men Women Black (Size 9/L) (L)£10.99 at the time of review. The PU coated palm gives you some grip, while the meshed backs allow some air inside the glove which makes them more pleasant to wear for longer. The fitting is not perfect but close enough for handling/light work, although the fit isn’t snug enough for small component work.So for light duties, these gloves should be okay and at less than £1 a pair, they should represent a fair balance for value for money.I wouldn’t use them for handling roses or cutting or pruning trees as they are too thin, but for other types of gardening work, they will do fine. I wouldn’t use them for building work at all, unless you include DIY self-assembly as building. I also can’t see them keeping oil and grease off your hands when working with cars and vans and so on. For light work though, such as sweeping, moving items about and so on, they will do the job.

Great value and definitely does the job
I was quite impressed with this product. Gardening and work gloves tend to get dirty quickly, so having multiple pairs is a real convenience. I try to wash and reuse them instead of throwing them away, and these gloves hold up well to regular use and light cleaning. They're surprisingly thin, yet perfect for light gardening and DIY tasks. The soft polyester top and PU-coated underside provide a nice layer of protection without being too bulky. What I really like is the flexibility – the size 9 fits various hand sizes in my family, both men and women. The fingers are a bit long, but thanks to the stretchy fabric and elasticated wrist, they stay stay secure, keeping dirt and debris out. These gloves are a great find for anyone needing simple and comfortable hand protection for daily chores.

Not the best fitting, but ok and does the job
These gloves are not the finest fitting for me, but they do the job and it only took a short while for them to ease up enough that I no longer noticed. The working inner surface coating feels a little harder and rougher than rubbery, but it's proven tough enough today so I can't whine about that. I would have preferred a better fit and would have liked them longer to come up the wrist a little. That to me would feel more normal and comfortable. They do the job and I'm grateful for them. I think they will last reasonably well and I think the value for money is fair. I can be pretty hard on my work gloves sometimes, not today, but these have had a little chance to prove their worth and demonstrate a pair can easily survive till tomorrow at least. I'm sure they'll be fine.

Great mechanic gloves
I was buying individual pairs of gloves for about £2 a pair. This is a great bulk pack to use. They are a touch big for me but will make full use of them. They feel as good a quality as the gloves I was previously purchasing. These will be ideal to keep in the tailer for use at the kart track.

Light duty only gloves. Zero back of hand protection.
Right, these fit well and at the price paid it looks too good to be true.Sadly they are VERY light duty gloves, offering a bit more than disposable protection. No good for trade or commercial use.For dry assembly they will be ok. Held up to the light you can see through the "sealed" side so they will offer poor, but some, oil and grease protection but only for a short time. The backs are like stocking material with zero protection. For gardening, fine, but not near anything with thorns. Blackthorn, hawthorn, roses, brambles etc will go through with no resistance. If you are doing some finer work, they are better than disposable nitriles as they will last a bit longer. Will get used over time.

It's a bag of palm gloves - sizing runs small though
I get through a fair few pairs of these from the two typical outlets found on industrial estates around the country. The cost of these is favourable to buying individuals from those retailers. The quality appears exactly the same, but I'm typically a size L from those retailers, and these Velway size L are noticeably tighter. Size up if you can.

Very good quality
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with 12 pairs of gloves as with the great quality these have been made of, they will last a very long time.I'm not exactly sure what material they are made of but the under construction is of cloth and the rest is like a tough but flexible rubber making them waterproof. The upper part of the gloves are not ruberrised to allow your hand to breathe. These will be great for gardening but also for when doing some diy, ideal for protecting the hands.I'm going to get my other half to keep a couple of pairs in the car just in case, tyre changing or the likes.
