Very sturdy bedframe. I was amazed it could be packaged in a tube a few feet long and barely inches in width. The box was tightly packed with all the frame rods, but yes indeed they did all fit together to make the frame without too much hassle. One problem was that the rods #9 (the slats) in the instructions actually had stickers that said 3 on them, so look over the image in the instructions that identifies all the parts and you'll figure this out. Also, the two rounded legs did not seem at first to join two perpendicular rods. It took me a little while to realize that there was a plastic piece inserted that could be removed, and then, hey presto, there was space to slide the rods into. The package gives you an extra screw and bolt, which is a good idea (didn't need them). I like the fact that this bed has ten slats (the cross bars that hold the mattress up, rather than the six or seven or my prior frame. This is a very solid metal frame, so I feel confident it will hold me and my mattress up solidly for a long while. Recommended. Being metal has an advantage too if you're worried about bed bugs (which I had many homes ago, and it took months to get rid of them). They don't like climbing metal so I would avoid any wooden bed frames. Go for the metal, but also keep the frame several inches away from a wall in all directions just to be safe. You might not have this problem, and neither do I, but I'm not inviting them should any turn up from a neighbor's apartment!

California king is much more sturdy than our previous bed. The corners do seem to stick out a bit if the bed isn't perfectly centered. Being more stable, we are waking up less from the other person's movement. The mattress easily slides across it, which is good and bad due to ease of movement for sheets (easy to put on, easily slide around in the night). Easy to assemble on my own.

I have purchased two of these frames. The first one my husband put together. It had been returned and the screws were loose in the box and some parts were mislabeled. It was frustrating, but he put it together and we really like it. I just put together the second one. It had the screws nicely sorted and the parts were labeled correctly. However, it does not include an Allen wrench for the size E screws. Fortunately I had some tools and had one that worked. There was an Allen wrench but it fit the other screws, not the size e screws. Also one slot got slightly bent in shipping, so I needed a hammer to get the slot in place, but only for that one. It’s not a quick assembly. I think it took me 1.5 hours. But it is together and seems sturdy like the other one we purchased.

It is sturdy and of good quality and I am happy with my purchase, only one issue is that the mattress slides easily and needs something to hold it down.

While heavy for one person to lift the package, I was able to manage it since I am of a relatively robust constitution for an old guy. I assembled it within 1/2 hour with the tools provided. Once assembled it is sturdy.The parts package includes 4 bolts which, upon first inspection look identical to the others but be advised these 4 have beveled faces while the others have flat faces.

Great frame that is sturdy and has ample space underneath it. Get the middle together first and we didn't need more than a light tap to insure every connection was secure.

Purchased this for my mom after also ordering her a new mattress. Only took me about 20 minutes to assemble solo. She was skeptical at first, as many older folks seem to be when you tell them they don't need a box spring (or wooden slats, or pennies...) anymore, but now that she's had it for a few days, she's delighted. The frame doesn't creak or wobble, standard size storage totes fit perfectly underneath, and the extra couple inches of elevation compared to her previous setup makes it easier for her to get in and out of bed. She's difficult to please, so the fact that she actually likes this bed frame speaks volumes. Great value for price, definitely recommend.

I don't normally give five stars because "Nobody is perfect" but this King size bed frame is so amazing, that I'm buying 2 more for my boys! The 18" clearance from the floor allows us to put about 10 - 12, 18 gallon totes under it. Wonderful and Amazing!
