Just finished installing this wall safe. A few comments on the installation. There are no installation instructions but it's all common sense and there's a few You Tube videos out there to show you what to do. The safe itself fits exactly between two studs. IMO - Having a good stud finder made all the difference. I purchased a JAXWQ stud finder on Amazon and it worked great. Also, I added a 2X4 on the bottom for the safe to sit on while installing the screws into the studs. Use a level to make sure everything is straight. The safe is no frills but solid. Installing the batteries and passcodes was easy. So overall, there were no surprises on install which I appreciate. You really can't go wrong with this safe for the price point.

I read many reviews and was holding my breath a little when I ordered this one. I am relieved to tell you this turned out to be a great buy. - This fits between the wall studs (US building code) without any issues. - Easy to install, included the mounting hardware and directions for setting up lock codes. - As with all between the studs wall safes, the middle shelf has limited use since much of its space is taken up with the locking mechanism. - The shelves can be removed if needed. - The top an bottom shelf have a decent amount of room to store what you need to. My biggest concern was finding a wall safe that would fit between the studs. Many other products had reviews that indicated they did not fit between the studs without having to trim the studs. - This safe fits between 16" on center 2x4 studs. - The in wall width is 14.25" giving you 1/4" of wiggle room for framers that missed by a little bit. - I had no issues setting the unlock codes. - You can set up to 2 codes from 3 - 8 digits each. - after 3 failed attempts safe will lock you out for 20 seconds No it is not fireproof, nor does it not claim to be. This is a good solution for keeping items locked up and out of reach. Some people have reviewed that they could easily pry open this safe. While I do believe a determined person might be able to do so, it would not be easy.

We purchased this in-wall safe because our toddler has mastered childproof caps and locks, and we needed a secure place for medications. The safe arrived in perfect condition and the installation instructions were clear. The only hiccup was that the studs in our wall were slightly off standard size, so my husband had to shave them down a bit—but that was an issue with our house, not the safe. The lock was very easy to set up, and it opens and closes smoothly. My main reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the electronic locking mechanism in the center takes up a surprising amount of interior space. This means the top shelf, bottom shelf, and the edges of the middle shelf are usable, but a large portion of the middle section isn’t. For someone mostly storing papers or flat items this may not be a big deal, but for us it was an unexpected limitation. Overall, it’s a solid and well-built safe that does the job we bought it for, but buyers should know they won’t get quite as much usable space inside as the exterior dimensions suggest.

LOVE! get you a photo canvas from groupon to put over it for maximum James Bond top secret effect! Has worked so so awesome & no one knows it exists still besides all this world of reviewers now! :D I was a little worried that removing some insulation from an exterior wall (for it to fit) would make this safe too cold in the winter time, but everything in the safe stayed at room temp all winter still so I can attest that your external hard drives & other small electronics will be safe in this despite outside temps if you happen to choose an exterior wall to put it in like I did. Installation was easy...found studs with stud finder....held against wall while I traced around it with pencil. Cut sliver of drywall with utility knife...enough to fit reciprocating saw into & then just went slightly outside the pencil line with the saw & along both studs. It fit perfectly between the 2 wall studs and mounted securely! Haven't had any issues. Highly recommend!

The product is built solid and sturdy. It is what a wall safe should be. I had a small concern and customer care resolved the concern immediately. I would recommend this product. Just as a side note, don’t try and open nor close the safe while it is laying flat because it is almost impossible to open. Open and close vertically as if it was installed.

This came fast, was easy to install and easy to set the combination. The measurements listed on the website are for the hole are fairly accurate and it fits very well between studs that are on 16” centers. The beeping doesn’t bother me, however if you are using it for emergency firearm storage I can see how that would be the case. The only thing That could be improved is the seal. The door clanks around on the safe when your punching in the code. This could be resolved with some adhesive rubber cabinet bushings more than likely. I would recommend if you are looking for something to keep some documents, however I do not believe it is fire proof.

Safe was installed with ease. Everything worked fine initially. Three months in, the batteries died. Replaced the batteries and nothing! Put a new set of batteries again and no response from keypad. Attempted multiple reset options, and nothing. Attempted the only number I could find for manufacturer and no luck getting support! Only option was to uninstall and return to Amazon for a full refund! Will look elsewhere.

This item arrives in very sturdy packaging. I selected a wall location that normally wouldn't have any water line. I have a lot of maintenance experience, so I have some knowledge if things like this. I cut the opening and found that the item was too small to mount between the wall studs in my location. I measured the gap and found that I could install a 28 inch piece of 2x4 to the adjoining wall stud and the box would fit perfectly. I own a cordless framing nailer and easily installed this additional lumber. I followed the advice of several reviewers and used my own lag bolts. The ones that ship with the wall safe are not of the best quality and would probably twist the heads off using normal techniques. I removed the door to make it easier to use a socket wrench to install the lag bolts. I was surprised to see that the door rides on a ball bearing. This is a good touch and shows attention to detail. If you remove the door, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LOSE THIS BALL BEARING! I was skeptical of the other reviewers concerns of the beeping noise when the buttons are pressed. I tested it out and the other reviewers were spot on. I didn't do anything fancy to remove the beeper, I just grasped the beeper between two fingers and kept turning it slightly left and right until the leads broke off. NO DESOLDERING REQUIRED. My unit had programming instructions in the box as well as the generic spec sheet. This is a decent quality unit for the price and should serve most people very well. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMBER. ***EDIT ADDED HERE*** I liked this safe so much I purchased a unit for a different house in 2018 and yet again in 2024 and I am still happy with the product experience since the initial purchase! Still would recommend this for friends and family in 2025 and beyond!

I assumed for $100 this would be thin cheap sheet metal with a cheap plastic facing, but that would do for what I wanted it for. The plastic facing IS kinda cheap.... so I was half right. But MAN this thing is SOLID! It weights about triple what I thought it would. A cut out paper template would have been nice too, but not a deal breaker.... Quite pleased in general, at a steal at the price really.

Purchased this safe for to store away few papers etc. As advertised it could hold cash or a small to medium firearm. Very secure. Found it to be very heavy and durable. When you open the door it has a slight spring outward motion with a spring mounted on the inside of the door to help open the door. It installed easily into the 16" on center wall studs nicely. Just cut the required rear opening size into the drywall. It includes some heavy duty lag bolts to secure the safe into the wall studs, (2x4). It has a nice wide flange around the front of the safe to hide any minor cutting errors on the drywall if you happen to make any. I secured the backside of the frontal flange with silicone caulking to help it give a nice secure and seamless look into the wall.. This safe is very flush to the wall including the keypad and the turn knob. If desired, you could hang a poster or a picture etc over it to disguise it from anyone. It has a couple of shelves inside which I really felt don't do a lot, but are there if you could use them. Depends what you are storing in the safe. When it arrived it, I found it to be quite heavy. I would guess in the neighbourhood of 50 lbs. It might be wise to have some help to install inside the wall cavity to level it off and secure it to the wall studs, due to the weight. It has both a combo lock which you can use 2 different combinations and 2 keys for back up in case the batteries die. Had this safe for 7 months now and it is still working great. Has a nice 10 yr warranty if anything should go wrong. Only issue could possibly be the digital combination lock, as it appears, there is nothing else that could wear out . I have a family member who is thinking about getting the same safe, so this a safe I would definitely purchase again. **Note I did not receive this safe for free or for a discount. This is my honest opinion from my experience with this purchase. I make all of my reviews as accurate as possible of my purchases.

Excelente caja fuerte. Precio insuperable. Calidad buenísima. Difícil de instalar ya que lo hice en muro de ladrillo y fue un gran trabajo hacer el agujero para ensamblarla. Pero una vez hecho quedó súper oculta, resistente y además le coloqué tornillos de muro a muro así que imposible de arrancarla. El único detalle es que no se puede desactivar el ruido al oprimir cada tecla de la clave y puede escucharlo gente cerca. Además se abre con llave así que no hay riesgo de pérdida de clave. El espacio interior suficiente para una caja de este tipo. Realmente es una buena caja de seguridad anti ladrones. Aunque la llegaran a encontrar tardarían horas en arrancarla al menos que llevaran picos y palas para hacerlo. La clave es que no la encuentren. Y con un cuadro encima no lo harán. Es fácil para abrirla diario si uno desea. Caben perfecto relojes, llaves de coches, dinero, monedas, joyas, facturas vehiculares (dobladas) y demás. Está pesada pero es prueba de su resistencia. La puede instalar uno solo (yo lo hice). Por tan poco dinero no entiendo por qué la gente sigue arriesgando esconder sus valores en lugares simples y vulnerables.
