Love these books. Easy to read, beautiful illustrations and range of interesting women to read about. Includes pirates, rock stars, refuges, scientist,Greek nobility and many more. It includes a beautiful painting of each one and a quick one page with interesting facts. I bought this for my 5th grade who has a low reading level. She reads 20 at a time, her pick and writes a book report to meet her non fiction requirement.

Such a fantastic set of books!! I bought this for all of my nieces this year. So empowering. Great messages to send to young girls... giving them examples of strong, intelligent, talented, and brave women who've done courageous things and succeeded in their fields. I love that these stories show girls possibilities of what they can achieve if they dream big and then work hard! I think these are great stories for boys to hear also -- stories that inspire respect for women.

LOVE the two books. I have read it in classrooms, and when asked about the name of the book, said "the publishers made an error - instead of "..stories FOR girls" they meant to say "..stories ABOUT girls". Boys and girls are equally interested in the stories, and I do wish the publishers would consider changing the title of the books to prevent peer pressure from stopping the boys from reading "books FOR girls". We read about 5 at a time, which takes a good 30+ minutes since each one page story is usually packed with topics to discuss. I would love for a subsequent book to be culturally / geographically oriented (eg. "stories about rebels in xxxx country / culture") - it would be great to help elementary kids to start embracing and respecting the greatness of all cultures, and prevent bullying. Highly recommend.

I originally picked this set only because of the bigoted negative reviews thinking children are not able to understand transgender related issues (and that one reviewer who deliberately misgendered like that is something acceptable to do). The books are actually really cute! Though, I really don't think it is able to portray the magnitude of the hardships these women had to overcome. The tone is pretty dry, too.

I love these books! I bought them for my granddaughter and I’m sure she will love them.

Both of my young granddaughters enjoy this set. A wide variety of women are presented, some that will raise parent eyebrows perhaps. This grandma believes that each and every one is important for a girl to hear about. Since each bio is just a page, makes a good 'quick read'. Granddaughters also liked the variety of illustrations (more than I did) at ages 2 and 6 they are more open.

I’ve been giving Rebel Girls books as gifts to every little girl I know. They are so unique, so beautiful, and honestly the perfect gift.

I was a little skeptical bc it's not cheap... But I absolutely love the stories! They are short enough and simple enough for her to understand. We read 1 story each night and she makes sure of it! Sometimes when we look at who tomorrow will be, and we get excited and read that one too! Worth every penny!

Great series to have if you have a daughter. Relevant information and written in a way that even an 8 year old can understand.

Great stories - And ones I know my growing daughter will get more and more interested in as she understands more. Happy they are only 1 page long - just right for my toddlers attention span lol.
