Used this to get data off a non-booting computer. It worked fine.

Shows up as a USB 3.2 device when connected, but the computer says it's not even connected at USB 3.0 speeds. Average read speed is about 30MB/s IF it stays connected. Tried over a dozen cables, 4 different computers and 6 different SSD's with the same results. This is garbage. The outer enclosure seems like a good piece of aluminum, but to get the thermal tape to make contact with it, I had to put 3 layers on and force it into the enclosure. With certain cables it won't even stay connected for more than 2 minutes at a time without it disconnecting then reconnecting constantly. With other cables it would stay connected, but would never come anywhere near 20Gbps read speeds. There's tons of other (and cheaper) enclosures such as the ones by SSK that out perform this night and day. Steer clear!

I have different NVME enclosure from different vendors and this one is pretty solid. It works straight out of the box with different Thunderbolt3/4 & USB=4 cables, and it performs well and fast on my system. I use different SSD nvme.2 drives and data transfer rate is on par with the expected result. Pretty happy with it. I haven't used the included fan yet. But it's nice to have that option when I need to. Highly recommend it.
