Gorgeous bag
I didn't know there was such this as a foraging bag before I found this one. I didn't know what to expect but having an interest in foraging with the kids I figured I would try it out. It's a beautifully made very sturdy bag. It has a denim jeans feel to it. I haven't exactly figured out if there is a specific way to use it, but just as a bag on it's own it's great. If gathering berries or something delicate however you definitely need to have a jar or bucket to put them in. Otherwise on its own this bag would be best for mushrooms or anything a bit more sturdy. I haven't needed to wash it yet but it should wash very well. Being cotton I would hang dry if possible.

Extremely versatile and well made - lots of connection points, long straps, and two internal bags
This is an extremely versatile bag for picking from your garden, fruit trees or even mushrooms from the woods. It is made of very robust canvas (not sure it is actually waxed) with two internal bags that snap in to the main body. One is a light mesh bag, the other a plastic lined bag for wet things with two handles. Also, either could be used on it's own, then packed in the main bag to transport. The thing I like best is the variety of rings to clip the straps into. For fruit tree picking, I normally climb a ladder and pick into a bucket perched on the paint shelf, which is not very convenient. With this bag, I would wear the straps over both shoulders with the bag in front to pick into. No unbalanced reaching into the bucket with fruit, and both hands available to drop straight into the bag on my chest. Mesh bag for apples, wet bag for soft fruits. For my vegetable gardening, I would set this up like a cross body bag at my hip, and pick into the bag without an insert (except for tomatoes...). It will really hold a lot! The zipper at the bottom means you don't need to upend it to dump it out - just unzip it into your bucket or kitchen sink. For a shorter bag that doesn't bang into your thigh, the bottom folds up and clips into d-rings. The straps are very adjustable in length. It's tricky to move the shoulder pads from one side of the metal adjustment to the other, but it can be done.Although it's far from the season for fruit and vegetable harvest time, I think this bag will meet my gardening needs very well.

Horticulturist and Botany Enthusiasts Unite
My cousin is a major fan of plant biology, and used to spend hours observing the variety of plants/flora growing in our backyards. Although he is now a nurse, he still has a passion for plant-life. Being that we lived together for a bit, I saw fit to grab this harvesting and foraging bag for the house, hoping that we could spend some time looking for edible mushrooms and interesting plants to propagate.I'm thrilled to say that he loves this bag, and the setup is really well-reasoned. The portion that is waterproof lets one get deep into the mud for jobs that may be a bit messier, without concern for the mess it will leave, or any leaking that might occur. The "mesh net" pocket also allows soil to fall through, and feels far more sanitary than alternatives. The straps are also comfortable enough to wear on one's back, or on the front like a kangaroo pouch. He loves the bag, and said he is going to start bringing it everywhere to both hold things, or embark on the occasional nature walk when the opportunity arises. This bag is awesome, and I kind of want to grab one for more people (myself included).

Very Nice Bag, Great for Foraging and Many Other Purposes
This bag is great for foraging, but also for packing and carrying plenty of other things as well. Works great in the garden or farmers market to carry all sorts of fruits, veggies, roots or other items in. Very durable fabric, which looks very nice. Quality assembly. Excellent, high-end zippers, snaps, etc. Bag will last for years and years. As for the 2 additional bags that came inside the main bag. One will last as long as the main bag, but the other is clear plastic, which I have found is easy to discolor over time and can rip apart at the seams. Since the walls of the small bag are all the clear plastic, it's great for seeing what's inside. Great for berries. However, be careful not to damage the thin plastic. Then again, you might need some air getting inside this bag depending on what you're using it for. Overall, this bag is a great value.

Tough & durable, overly large and heavy
This was quite a bit larger than I expected with it being advertised for mushroom foraging, and constructed of a thick canvas fabric which while durable is also heavy even when empty. Minor size and weight issues aside, it’s pretty clever having swappable liners and they’re easy enough to change with the snap button system. I’ll probably mostly use the mesh liner but the waterproof vinyl liner will probably come in handy for damper environments. The versatility and size of the bag makes it well suited for picking pretty much anything, from berries and mushrooms to a trip to an orchard for apples or oranges and you can obviously use it as a general purpose tote bag as well.I didn’t find the small exterior pocket useful since there’s no closure, but I do like the inclusion of a d-ring below the pocket. All of the hardware on this bag is made of metal which should be good for durability but does add some weight. The included shoulder strap is just a webbing strap with no padding which isn’t really ideal for hauling even a half-full bag but with all the mounting points I’m sure you can piggyback it off a larger pack if desired. The bag works well enough for its purpose although the weight and overall dimensions will probably keep me from packing it on even a day trip so it’s a bit too single-purpose for my liking. Nonetheless, it’s a well constructed and durable bag and the swappable liners are useful and make for easier cleaning.
