TrackAid Medical Forehead and Ear Thermometer, Infrared Digital Thermometer Suitable for Baby, Infant, Toddler and Adults

We have a six year old boy, we do have a forehead thermometer for him. However, several times we found his forehead temperature was much lower than his body temperate when he was sick. We know it was not due to the inaccurate of that forehead thermometer, as we can feel the temperature difference between his body and head by hand, his body was fever hot while his head stays normal. It was very frustrated as we couldn’t know his real body temperature. After talking to several parents, we know we do need to get an ear function thermometer for him. We pick this Trackaid thermometer just because it has forehead/ear dual mode functions, the price is reasonable, it is FBA item so we could return it in 30 days if not satisfied. Honestly, we didn’t expect much for it as there are many similar options with much higher price. After we received it, we immediately love it. It is nice made, it has many practical functions such as back-lit light, memory recall, automatic shut off. Mostly, it is reliable and accurate, it has slight variations between each readings, but it is acceptable for electronic device. The reading is super fast, it couldn’t be easier to get an ear temperature when my son is sleep.

I often forget to take my temperature before I eat or drink, therefore, I have to wait before using a regular under-the-tongue thermometer. With the forehead/ear thermometer, you can take your temperature pretty much any time. The reading is fast, as long as it takes to swipe the thermometer across your forehead, and accurate when I compared with a nurse's temperature reading.

Our newborn daughter recently has been to the emergency room because of a fever, so we have become acquainted with a variety of thermometers amidst frequent temperature checks.Of all the thermometers we tried, this has one of the best designs (easy to hold in your hand) for taking a forehead temperature reading, and the result displays quite quickly. Hopefully you won't have need of it, but if you are looking for a thermometer, this is a good pick. We've used it for almost a month, and are still very satisfied.

Good product I purchased (4) thermometers from amazon just to see which one is the best because I had very bad experience with with many in the past. All the ones I had in the past were very inaccurate and the temperature read was +-1.5F. I wanted a thermometer that I could rely on. I left (2) out of (4) that were very close to actual temperature this one was one of them.Recommend. Only one small suggestion to manufacturer would be to make the removable front to switch from forehead to ear little more easy to disattach.

We used this for my 5moth old and it said her forehead was at 98.7 and ear was 98.7, less than 5min later she had a fever seizure had to call the EMS and her correct TEMP was 103.8! This product dose not work my daughter spent 3 days in the hospital due to her temp getting to high! Buyer beware this product is not reliable always check rectal temp!

It works ok if you follow the exact directions on the instruction paper and not the outside of the box. It’s important to swipe slowly about two seconds across forehead for most accurate reading. If you swipe too fast you’ll get a different reading each time.

Averages 2 degrees higher on forehead and up to 4 in ear and never the same. If deviation was at least consistent you could work with it. ALMOST just isn't good when your health is concerned.
