I love the feel of the torch, I use this for Automotive electrical connections.Works very well. Has enough heat for larger connections. (ground strap, 10 ga ect..)

My kids are always breaking things in the house and they bring the broken items to me for repair. Most things I can do, but welding/soldering have been my downfall. I got this kit because it was less intimidating than others I have seen on the market. To test things out and reduce the "scariness" of using the butane torch, we toasted some marshmallows with it. There is a good consistent flame. I used the soldering kit to repair my kids metal trucks, attach a sun catcher back on its frame, and seal up a leaking pipe under my sink. So far, all things "repaired" have stayed together and are holding strong. The company should have put better instructions for beginners with the kit or provided a link to learning videos that would help the newbie feel more confident by learning from pros. In addition, I feel there should have been a little more supplies included for the price and perhaps a better listing of what material the soldering would work on. This kit has certainly helped me clear my desk of repair projects and helped me overcome the fear of soldering. I plan on testing the unit with a few other projects like fixing a loose connection in my old laptop, repairing a power cord (shrink wrapping the cord to cover exposed wires), and so on. I'll post an update if I find new uses or issues.

Perfect size

I get saftley, but if I need a checklist to light this thing off, I don't need it. BUT, doesn't matter anyways because it stop working after 2 weeks of professional marine rigging. Don't buy. Come with a pretty looking case though!
