I’m a kindergarten teacher and thought this would be a fun way to incorporate following directions with some much needed movement. I was able to test it out in my summer program and the kids LOVED it. I love that it gives the option of two player (so I can give more students a turn in a shorter period of time). It’s easy to use and easy to store as well. It’ll be great for quick movement during the day as well as an option during indoor recess due to inclement weather.

The Co-founder of JoyBerri explains that with five brothers, she was a very active child and it troubled her to see that so many children today are not involved in activities that keep them moving. So she created a line of toys that would get children physically engaged, as well as mentally.This dance mat does just that. The child stands in the center of the mat and the display tells them which number to step on. When they do it right, they get a point and it makes a chiming noise. If they step on the wrong number, it makes a different noise and they do not get a point. It has settings for volume, speed, levels of difficulty and different songs.It does require three AA batteries, which are not included. It does include a small screwdriver to get the battery backing off so you can insert the batteries.This is a toy that may require a little explanation from a parent or older sibling, but once the child knows what to do, I think they will enjoy it for quite a while. Just don't forget the batteries!

I wanted to try this product with my family child care. My group ranges in age from 2 - 6 years for the summer. We do a lot of music and movement activities and this is one that the kids can do on their own while I am busy with other tasks . The two yr olds liked the freestyle mode of dance and the older kids liked the competitive aspect of the different levels. This will be a great activity for rainy days, cabin fever and anytime they need to be active. We rarely watch tv in my home so this will be a great addition. It is well made and I anticipate using it for years to come.

Small than I anticipated. It’s cute and it works but it’s probably only big enough for 2 small kids. It’s entertaining. Had no issue getting getting it to play but, trying to program it was a challenge. Mat is rather then and you can feel the wires but I don’t think kids are worried about that; at least mine were.

This kept 4 kids, ages 2-9 entertained for hours. Then they all went to bed before 8pm. Yes, its a little loud but the lowest volume isn't awful. It stores easily and doesn't take up much space. Highly recommend it for a slumber party or summer vacations.

Got one and. Kids loved it, however a couple foot buttons stopped working. Contacted and received replacement fast, however new one received center button stopped working days later. Great idea but not durable enough for long term use lasted less than 1 week.

My 7 year old son loves this and it’s been a great way for him to get more exercise when it’s Winter and we aren’t outside as much. We do have other exercise equipment at home but this is much more challenging and fun for him. It’s easily foldable which is so convenient when we live in a small home. The volume can be adjusted which has been perfect for night time dancing when my son has a lot of energy.

This was a good quality dance mat that my kids (ages 5, 7, 8, and 12), very much enjoyed. Until, one of the buttons quit working. It could be that my kids are especially rough, or perhaps it’s a defective dance mat, I can’t be sure. I didn’t want to take off more than one star, since my kids could have played too roughly with it. We really enjoyed using this dance mat and it provided hours of enjoyment for my kids. I do recommend trying this dance mat, I do believe my experience was due to my kids being rough, so give this one a try.
