"Outstanding Build, Performance & Support — A True Commercial-Grade Dehumidifier That Delivers!"
I live in upstate New York, where winters can get brutally cold. My home is insulated with spray foam, which makes it extremely energy efficient but also very tight — meaning humidity tends to get trapped inside. During the winter, I began noticing condensation and even frost forming on my windows. At first, I tried solving it with an energy recovery ventilator (ERV). While that helped exchange stale air, it didn’t fix the humidity problem. After doing some research, I decided to go with a commercial-grade dehumidifier instead of the small units most people use in their basements here in the Northeast. That’s when I found the Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier on amazon, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The build quality of this unit is exceptional. From the solid construction to the clean, professional finishes, everything about it feels first class. The unit was packaged extremely well — the box and internal protection were excellent — and everything arrived in perfect condition. Installation was a breeze. I chose the version without the condensate pump since I was able to tie directly into my existing condensate drain from the air conditioning system, and it drains perfectly. You can tell the Moiswell is built with serious attention to detail and quality. Once installed in my temperature-controlled attic space, I set up a few Wi-Fi hygrometers to track humidity levels. Within just a few hours of turning the unit on, I saw a rapid reduction in humidity, and it’s maintained ideal levels ever since. My condensation and frost issues disappeared almost immediately. Behind the intake filter on the Moiswell, you can actually see the evaporator coil, and when the unit is running, you can literally watch the water wicking off the coil — it works that well. The airflow is also impressive. It moves a huge volume of air, ensuring the entire attic space is evenly conditioned, not just one small area. I had a few questions during my initial installation and reached out to Moiswell’s customer support. They were absolutely fantastic. Big shoutout to Aya, who was incredibly helpful, patient, and responsive. It’s rare these days to find a company that not only makes a great product but also backs it up with world-class service — Moiswell truly does both. I give the Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier 5+ stars across the board. It’s powerful, beautifully built, easy to install, and backed by an excellent team. I’ve already recommended this unit to my neighbor after showing him how happy I was with it. If you live in a tightly sealed, spray-foam-insulated home and struggle with excess humidity or condensation — especially in cold climates — this is absolutely the solution you’ve been looking for. Worth every penny and then some!

Excellent dehumidifier (so far). UPDATE - expensive to run!
UPDATE 08/21/25 After running this dehumidifier for a full month, we received our first electric bill. To my surprise our bill was a good 25% higher than "normal" for this time of year! 25% is huge! In fact, it was the highest we had ever had in the past decade while owning this house! In addition, for 2 weeks of the month, our temps and humidity were actually significantly lower than average. Therefore, I expected the impact of this unit to have a minimal effect on the power bill! During this time, nothing else was different in our electricity usage other than we were using this dehumidifier, so I am confident the increase was due to running this unit. It did (does) keep the humidity level at the 50% set point, but it seemed to run almost constantly. In order to try to lower our costs, I have increased the humidity level set point 5% to 55%. We have noticed that the unit now cycles on and off more frequently, and we are hopeful this will lower our monthly cost. How much remains to be seen. Just be aware you may have significantly higher electrical costs while using this dehumidifier. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We live in an extremely humid area. We have used standard consumer type dehumidifiers in the past, but they always seem to break down within 3-5 years. We got tired of replacing them, so decided to try something more expensive that is designed for more heavy duty use. Since this is designed for crawl spaces, we thought this might be a good choice for the inside of our home. While this does not affect the rating for this unit, I do have to mention that delivery was terrible. This is very heavy, and I heard and felt the "thump" when it hit the porch. Looking at my Ring doorbell, I saw they basically dropped it onto the porch. Not only that, it was upside down, despite the warnings on the box to keep it upright! Luckily, the unit does not seem to have suffered any ill effects from the abuse it took during shipping/delivery. The first thing I did was to turn the unit upright, and allow it to sit for 24 hours to let the Freon settle. Failure to do so can introduce air bubbles into the line which can cause problems with the compressor. Similar to an air bubble in a vein when it gets to the heart. I made sure to message the seller/manufacturer about the delivery, and they sent me specific instructions about startup to insure there were no issues. After installing the drain hose, I plugged it in, and set the humidity at 20%. This caused the unit to run continuously so we could test it was working properly. At the time it was started, the room temp was 78° at 61% humidity. It took around 1/2 an hour for us to see water start to trickle from the drain hose. 6 hours later, the humidity was at 53%, and got stuck there for the next 2 days. When the humidity finally hit our preferred level at 50%, we changed the set point to 47%. That has been keeping an approx. 1800 sq. ft. space at an average of 50% for almost 2 weeks now. Be advised, this unit has no collection bucket, or pump. It has a gravity drain only, so you need to elevate the unit at least a few inches off the ground, and run the hose to a floor drain or outside (or external pump if you have one ie. sump pump). The hose they provide is quite long, but can be cut to length. However, it is on the thin side, and can be crushed easily. This is my only negative with this unit. The drain is a simple push on type, and does not have a screw-on garden hose connector. I would prefer to use a garden hose as it is stronger, and will not crush if stepped on. I have passed this suggestion on to the seller. This dehumidifier has been running now for almost 2 weeks, and it is working flawlessly. Our home is much more comfortable, and it feels like the A/C is not working as hard. That could just be the optimist in me talking though, as I have no hard facts to back that up. This unit does take up more floor space than others we have had, but it's worth it if it continues to keep us comfortable. The 2/5 year warranty is also reassuring. I do want to mention that the seller/manufacturer has been extremely responsive. They have provided us with recommendations that have been very helpful. They respond to questions quickly and with detailed answers. I can't speak more highly of their customer support. It gives me reassurance they will be there if there are any problems in the future.

Comprehensive Review: Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier ... It's a Beast!
After dealing with persistent humidity issues in our crawl space, we decided it was time for an upgrade. Our previous dehumidifier, while functional for smaller spaces, proved inadequate for the demands of our larger, more humid crawl space. After some research, we opted for the Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier, and it has been a game-changer. Installation & Initial Impressions Installing the Moiswell dehumidifier was straightforward. We mounted it securely onto the joists, a placement that not only keeps the unit out of the way but also allows for optimal airflow. The unit’s design is robust and feels like it’s built to last, which was one of the first things we noticed upon unpacking it. Once installed, we turned the unit on and monitored the humidity levels closely. At 10:30 AM, the humidity was a concerning 89%, which had been typical of our crawl space, contributing to issues like musty odors and potential mold growth. By 8 PM the same day, the Moiswell had already brought the humidity down to 64%, and by the following day at noon, it had further decreased to 59%. The rapid reduction in humidity was impressive and far exceeded our expectations based on past experiences with other dehumidifiers. Performance & Efficiency We set the target humidity level to 55%, and the Moiswell unit has been working diligently to maintain this level. The built-in hygrometer appears accurate and responsive, adjusting the unit's operation as needed to maintain the set humidity. The continuous drainage option is particularly convenient; with the drain hose attached, the unit consistently removes moisture from the air without the need for manual emptying. This feature is crucial for a space like ours, where high humidity is a constant issue. Noise Level One of our biggest concerns with a commercial-grade dehumidifier was noise. Given its powerful performance, we were prepared to tolerate some level of noise. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Moiswell runs incredibly quietly. It’s so unobtrusive that we often forget it’s even on. This low noise level is a significant advantage, especially for those who have the unit installed in areas close to living spaces. Overall Satisfaction & Recommendation After using the Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier for several weeks, we can confidently say that it has exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The humidity levels in our crawl space are now consistently within our desired range, and the air feels noticeably drier and fresher. The peace of mind that comes from knowing our space is protected from excess moisture is invaluable. In summary, if you’re dealing with a similar situation where humidity control is critical, the Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier is a top-notch solution. It’s effective, efficient, and quiet, making it an excellent choice for both residential and commercial applications. We are extremely satisfied with its performance to date and feel that it fully deserves a 5-star rating.

Great Purchase, We definitely recommend this Moiswell 145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier !
Easy to Install & Set Up, Not Loud At All, Economical, Works Great ! We had some very serious issues with moisture and mold in our garage/crawlspace that needed to be addressed in a very urgent matter. Spent numerous hours researching the Dehumidifiers available on Amazon, reading all reviews and watching all videos submitted by amazon customers. We decided on the ‘Moiswell145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier with Drain Hose for Crawl Spaces’ Because of the great reviews on its effectiveness, durability, very low noise level, low cost of operation and ease of use. We purchased it at the end of August 2025, and installed it the 1st or 2nd week of September 2025. Was so very simple to set up – The humidity level at our garage/crawlspace was at 78% and we set up this dehumidifier at 50% humidity; It worked great ! the humidity came down to 50% and the Dehumidifier went off, as it was supposed todo. It has been working great ever since, we have made sure to clean the filter every single month, it is very quiet (we do not hear it at all upstairs!), and has been quite economical; furthermore, we did not notice any critical increases on our electricity bill! it comes with a 5 year warranty, and we hope it continues working great for at least the next five years. We are very satisfied with our decision to purchase this Moiswell145 Pint Commercial Dehumidifier and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a Dehumidifier for their crawlspace/garage/basement!

Great product, great service Team!
Purchased my original Mosiwell145 in October 1923 and put it to work immediately. It did a fantastic job. It knocked the humidity down in my little bit larger size basement and just one day. It worked fine during the winter. I didn't need it so I shut it off and then the spring it started up again in April and was doing a great job. I traveled a lot this summer and on my last trip when I came bac, but it was no longer dehumidifying. I contacted the service department and they were immediately responsive. We did a checklist to see what could be wrong with the unit and then they offered me either a full refund or a replacement which is now the newer M145 model. I felt the service team was very very responsive. They sent me a new unit which I received in about 10 days and turned it on and once again it knocks the humidity down from 75% to 45% in about 10 hours. I appreciate the way the machine works, and also very much appreciate the service team, especially Aya.

Performs As Needed and Expected
This has been installed for several months now in our encapsulated crawl space, and even when it is raining outside, the humidity remains constant in our crawlspace ...at about 30% ...which is perfect for our space. Very quiet. I never hear it operating. Simple to set up and simple to operate.

Nice 👍
So far so good ! This unit is super quiet and does what’s its supposed to! I own many buildings , garages and houses. I personally currently own 2 Santa fe commercial dehumidifiers and this Moiswell basement type dehumidifiers and several smaller in home type units , comfort for me is a must ! It’s very humid in TN ! Me and my family build large custom homes and small commercial projects in the Knox, Gatlinburg ,Blount , Sevier co. TN area . We use many of the Santa Fe commercial units in the homes we build in crawl spaces but there almost 3 times the price of the Moiswell unit ( for me and my team this is kind of a test to see how long this unit works ) . I’m impressed at this time , but time will tell! I’d say give it a try based on what I’ve seen at this point . It’s quiet , I love the detailed controls on the side and it looks nice also ! ( not that looks mean anything for something like this ) it also seams very energy efficient. This unit is in a very upscale garage with a lot of very nice tools and automobiles. So dry , nice smelling , mold and mildew prevention is a must . The size of the unit is not bad at all . I’d say it’s good value for the price ! I have this unit hard piped outside so there are no leaks at all . 👍👍
