โญ Glad I Chose Black for My Silver A7C II
โญโญโญโญโญ Excellent fit and improves the look of the camera I bought the black SMALLRIG Base Plate for my silver Sony A7C II and intentionally chose the black version instead of matching the silver body. In my opinion, the black bottom plate actually looks better and gives the camera a more balanced, professional appearance. The fit is excellent, with no wobble or gaps. It adds a little extra grip and protection to the bottom of the camera without making it feel bulky. Battery access remains convenient, and the build quality is exactly what I've come to expect from SmallRigโsolid, well-machined, and durable. If you have the silver A7C II and are debating between the silver and black base plate, don't be afraid to go with the black version. The two-tone look is subtle and stylish, and I personally prefer it over the matching silver option. Highly recommended.

Very nice, perfect fit.
It's very well built with minimal cardboard packaging. It fit's beautifully. I like how it's not too tall compared to some others, and is just perfect for your pinky finger to grab onto. Love the QD socket too as I utilize that on my other camera so going to be buying another QD socket connector for this camera. The battery compartment opens fully when you open the lever on the base. There are no issues with getting the battery out, fully opens, as I've seen some reviews say they can't get their battery out. Wrong, works perfect. The lever is not spring loaded, it's just heavily damped which is fine. Overall, well designed and highly recommended. Thanks SmallRig!!

Fantastic. Big Hands? Get this.
Such a subtle change and extremely effective. I upgraded my B cam from an A7III to the A7CII and genuinely thought id be fine staying minimal and that the grip would be fine. Was I wrong lol, the grip is actually too small and the Sony extension grip was crazy expensive in comparison. This looks like its meant to be on the camera, its high quality as are all Smallrig items I have, doesn't add much weight at all or change the feel.

Aesthetic & functional!
Beautifully crafted base plate, the silver matches perfectly for the silver top A7Cii. I love the little magnetic key and the latch for the battery access. Also most importantly, it gives me a more solid hold on the body with a comfy resting place for my pinky.
