Q: Is there sturdy elastic under the bra? If it’s not underwire as stated, this would be the only way it would work for me.

BTW it does have underwire cups and I am not sure if it has a sturdy elastic as I returned the swimsuit since it did not fit me well.

I’m 5/2 and there was plenty of room for me. Almost too much. I had to tighten the straps a good bit.

There is no underwire. The cups have those inserts, but the way they are constructed the top holds pretty good. I'm a 38DD and really like this suit.
