My horse
Super easy to put together, great instructions. This was bigger than I thought it would be. Great quality for the price.

Good but not quite great
This Trojan horse building kit is good. Building the base and legs felt a bit tedious to me, but the head and torso were more fun and interesting. I wasn't expecting the Greek figures when I ordered this, so those were a nice surprise. The box is attractive enough and giftable. The instructions are a good size and well-printed. There are a couple places where they could have saved steps by building just a little bit differently. However, the only choice in the instructions that I found seriously flawed was attaching the torso to the legs at the end. I ended up having to take the legs off of the base around knee-high, attach the upper portions of the legs to the torso, then attach the whole assembly to the lower legs on the base. That way I was only trying to align and seat 16 studs at once instead of 44.The pieces are all LEGO-compatible size and although they are not premium quality, I didn't encounter much difficulty with any of them. There are so many brown pieces that I wish they'd used a couple shades of brown to create more interest, but they have been well-used to create a very nice, distinctly Greek form of a horse. Although they aren't the best quality pieces, I do have to point out that they have done a great job producing them with satisfyingly uniform color and even the surface finishes are fairly consistent. The figures have prints front and back, and while the designs are good, they aren't printed with great alignment, so I don't feel as though they add to or detract from the overall value of the set.The pieces are bagged for two build phases, but probably should have been bagged for three - there were about a dozen bags for the second phase, so I needed to use multiple sorting trays to keep organized. Even so, I did find building to be fairly easy and straightforward, so I think this would be a fine set for younger kids who become interested in Greek mythology. For my part, I think I'm just looking forward to building a castle gate big enough to park it in front of.Overall, I think this set is almost 4.5 stars out of five. The build process has its ups and downs, but the finished set has very nice proportions and character.

Hours of fun and beautiful display piece!
Yesterday, I finished my latest art project, constructing a reproduction of the Trojan Horse. It is a Givenni building kit containing 1,120 pieces, many of them quite small, so I found it quite challenging. At over 12 1/2" tall when completed it makes a beautiful display piece and provided hours of concentration. It is compatible with Lego sets but much more reasonably priced. I noticed it is now only $39.95 on Amazon. The company also produces building kits for the Colosseum, the Athens acropolis and a Roman helmet (it refers to it as a Centurion's helmet but the crest is not transverse - I'll see if there is a way to modify it to a transverse configuration!). I also noticed this morning they have added a new "Pompeii" building kit with an erupting Vesuvius to their product line.Because there are so many pieces, they are packed in a multitude of little bags. Those numbered with a "1" include all the pieces for the transport platform and the horse's legs. The body and head are in all the bags labeled with a "2". There are about twice as many labeled with a "2" as those labeled "1". The little Greek warriors were in a bag of their own. I could not figure out the scheme for which pieces were in which bags so if you have a large work table, you may wish to divide the piles into something that would facilitate construction such as all the small pieces such as 1X1, 1X2, 1X3, 1x4 and 1X6 in one pile, the 2X2, 2X3, 2X4, and 2X6 in another pile, small brown shaped pieces in another pile, small flat brown pieces in another pile, small black pieces in another pile, black mane and tail pieces in another pile, etc. I, however, had a small working space so left the pieces in their original bags but constructing one component sometimes required searching through three or four bags to find the related parts and complete it which ended up being more time consuming.I'm so excited to find this company focusing on building kits for objects and landscapes of the ancient world!

Never again
Missing at least one bag of parts. seller will not rectify the problem, it's the "shipper's" issue, not theirs. I'd been warned not to buy Chinese brick compatible kits, they were of notoriously poor quality. this one used an Italian business name as a front - I should have investigated more and taken a pass despite how nice the kit looked.

First of this brand in our family’s collection.
I purchased for our adult grandson who loves horses. I generally will buy no other brand than LEGO. I took a chance because it looked good in the picture. My grandson loves it and enjoyed building it around his school/work assignments. No missing parts, Great quality and good Value for the size of the project. Instructions are different than some other brands yet not hard to follow. I will purchase this brand again.

Creative toy
I bought this for my kids school project and it worked well but the pieces are not so great and the instructions are not very clearly laid out .

Mono colour but good build
Secure connections, somewhat challenging because no colour variation but easy, fun build.

Unstable
I am used to working with another product and now appreciate it more. No click in the bricks is especially noticeable when a part of the model needs to remain stable. Thought about gluing some parts to keep them together. Once it’s on the shelf it will be “off limits “ to touching and moving lest parts fall off (like the tail!). Too bad. Great theme

Very impressed, minor QC issue
This is a really great 3rd party building set, and the finished product looks fantastic. My only real complaints about this product were in the building process itself.First off, the set is broken down into bags like you'd expect from a proper Lego set. However there are only two numbers, 1 and 2. Normally a set of this size should have multiple numbered bags so that you aren't dealing with a huge pile of pieces all at once. But roughly 30-40% of this set is contained in bags marked "1" and the rest of the set is in bags marked "2", so you end up dealing with a huge quantity of pieces all at once in order to find the parts you need and since they are almost all brown it can be a bit challenging to sift through. This set could easily be separated into 4 steps with one bag for the base/carriage, one bag for the legs, one for the torso and one final bag for the head and tail. The layout of the steps can also be slightly confusing. There are several pages in the instruction booklet where the steps convey building from right to left and then back to left to right. It can throw off your rhythm a bit, especially since most of the build is pure brown bricks and you can sometimes lose track of what pieces you're building. As an experienced builder these aren't really problematic for me but younger children will likely need some supervision with this set.I also had one defective piece which thankfully was able to still fulfill its purpose and not obstruct the final product in any way. Since this set does not contain any spare parts, this could have been a problem depending on the piece but alas we were in the clear. Despite one piece, the general quality of the pieces is much better than some of the 3rd party sets I've bought in the past, and I didn't have any problems with parts being too stiff or loose, or having small gaps, scratches, or cracks when pressed firmly together. But I still consider this a 4/5 star product overall. The defective piece was unfortunate but hopefully just a fluke on my end, and the difficulty with the instructions and "bags" is really only an issue for children and not experienced builders. And the final build does look really nice on display. The other sets from this company are a bit beyond my price and size budget but I'll definitely keep my eye on them as a history buff.

Hours of fun; good instructions; some very small pieces
I think this kit is more appropriate for adults than kids, but it depends on the kid. If your child is responsible enough to work with very small pieces, then they will enjoy this.My wife loves working with her hands, so this was right up her alley. The instructions are laid out well, and easy to follow. The required pieces are listed at the top of the page, and the instructions for where they go follows. The pieces are group packed in small baggies, much like when you build an RC car kit.She hasn't completed building it yet, but she's enjoying the process, and it looks like the final model will be a decent size!At the time of this review, this kit is listed for $58.89 less a $10 coupon, which is reasonable for a kit with this many pieces.

High quality building set. Looks great.
This is a perfect building set that comes with an excellent assortment of high quality blocks used to build a fantastic trojan horse model. The kit comes in a really nice box and includes simple to follow instructions. All the pieces are well formed and fit together tightly. The finished model is fairly solid and can be played with, and also makes a great display piece.I like it. This is an excellent building block set that is fun to build and looks exactly like the pictures.
