I was looking for something that I could put on my nightstand so I could get rid of the gigantic old-style clock radio that had been there for decades. I just wanted something to free up that space and I realized with smartphones today you don't really need a clock radio anymore. All you need is a speaker that you can listen to as you fall off to sleep.Before purchasing this I had purchased another speaker (that was much larger, although smaller than the clock radio), the problem with it was that it would constantly beep when it was connecting to the phone via bluetooth. And apparently it would lose the connection every so often and beep very loudly as it reconnected. In other words, it would wake me up 2-3 times a night. VERY ANNOYING!When I received this speaker from Amazon I first loved how small it was! Because it frees up pretty much all the space on my nightstand. In fact, I don't even have to put it on the nightstand. I can put it on the dresser across the room and still hear it just fine as I go to sleep.The sound is amazing for its size. And it has plenty of volume to make it possible to put it anywhere in the room where you are and hear it.At first I didn't like the fact that it had to be plugged into a USB connector, as I don't have one of those next to my bed. I guess I could have one easily enough, but I don't. But once the battery is charged it'll last for days before it needs a recharge. So that turned out not to be a problem.Because of its small size it's very easy to pick it up and take it with you to the next room. The speakers I bought prior to this while smaller than a clock radio were big enough that you didn't want to pick them up and move them around. So the fact I can just pick this little cube up and take it with me is awesome. And I find myself doing more and more often. It now goes into the shower with me so I can listen to music or podcasts while I shower. I also take it into the kitchen so I can listen there as well. And that has allowed me to get rid of the clock radio in the kitchen freeing up a little more counter space there too!Due to my experience with the previous speakers, I LOVE that this one NEVER beeps again after it connects the first time. It's rock solid in that respect.There is one thing that annoys me about it and that is if you end the bluetooth connection between it and your phone, it will shut off after a few minutes. I wish it would just stay on so I could reconnect my phone without having to pick it up and turn it upside down and hit the on/off switch. That gets old after a while. Plus, sometimes it's across the room from where I actually am so I have to actually get up and walk over to it.The other kind of quirky thing about it is that all the switches are on the bottom of it. I guess that allows them to give it its beautiful clean appearance, but it's a little weird. Although it's so small and light it's not really a problem to pick it up and turn it over. It's just like a large ice cube - with sound! But once it shuts off, the on/off switch is still in the on position, so when you want to turn it back on you have to slide the switch twice, once to off and then once again back to on. It's a little bit of work and it could all be avoided if they'd just let the thing keep running until you physically turn it off.But on the whole I'm very, very happy with this and have really enjoyed having it.

The speaker was great. If you buy it dont use it wile it’s charging the input is not placed very good if you push to hard on the charger it will break. Its not soldered in. I left in pluged up and put it in my lunch-bag and it broke. So don’t leave the charger cord plugged in and you will be fine. Good buy

It delivers what most in it's price range only claim...BASE and POWER.Don't misunderstand. This unit is not going to compare to high end portables, but if you are one of the folks like me who just wants to have something--unlike my android phone's pathetic speaker that delivers sound you can actually hear over normal conversation.Pairing was simple with both Sammy's S3 Phone and my Kindle HDX. It could not pair with both simultaneously and I don't even know if it is a feature on this unit anyway. I was Immediately impressed with the base and clarity of mid ranges and it yet had two more "presses" of the + button on the bottom of the unit until it reached full volume. At full volume it was uncomfortably loud for a living room with others watching TV, yet the quality of the music only slightly distorted.The 5 Watts of Power was enough to hear the music in all adjacent rooms. Very Impressive. Then I received a cell phone call and it beeped to inform me to press the call button conveniently located on the front of the speaker. The caller was clear and didn't sound tinny like my phones speaker on a call, it was nice and rich. So for sound Acceptable Bass, Clear Mid Range and Voice Range is rich and clear. High tones are severely lacking, as was expected.Battery lasted through a 120 mile journey and still had an unknown amount of power left to go as there is no power indicator. The unit charged faster than the 8 hours recommended for the initial charge and subsequent charges took only an hour or two.Over all I really like this speaker and purchased a second immediately. If you did your homework on this one like I did you'll find at least one other seller with a different trade mark selling this unit at a higher price. It is the same unit so go ahead and purchase here with confidence. The shipping was almost overnight for Prime Members which I HIGHLY recommend you become one!

I gave this to my husband. It worked well at first. Nice volume, easy to hook up, long lasting battery, but for some reason it will not work any more. Such a bummer. This wonderful thing, that should have worked a little longer.

I first noticed this speaker under a different brand name and it had rave reviews. Shortly after, I found this speaker a third of the price, and just hoped it was the same speaker.When I picked the speaker up, the first thing I noticed was the great build quality. The device looks sleek, and feels very nice in the hand. A great addition is the rubbery surface on the bottom of the device; it'd be pretty difficult to knock it over.Now to the sound. I have to admit, I was wowed when I turned it up to max volume. The volume will easily fill a medium sized room. As for the quality, it's not amazing, but at this price range it's hard to beat.I compared the speaker to the sound of my Sound Blaster speakers with Dynaudio on my laptop. The Turcom speaker was actually much louder, but the quality wasn't anywhere near as close.As for bluetooth quality, I have never had a problem connecting to the speaker and connection was quite fast.In conclusion, if you're looking for a powerful bluetooth speaker in the $20-$30 price range, the Torcom Bluetooth Speaker will not disappoint.
