A taut thriller to devour and love
Bella Caruso sis a survivor. She survived a nightmare of abuse and betrayal as a teenager and is determined to help those young women who are facing the same thing now. Deep undercover, Bella is determined to find this one child, Hope, who has been missing for eighteen months. Now Bella is deeper than she ever has been but time is running out.J.T. Caruso is determined to help Bella but when he finds out she is so deep undercover in a sex trafficking ring, he brings in an expert on such things, FBI agent Lucy Kincaid for help. But even with Lucy’s experience in sex trafficking rings, Bella is hard to find because for Bella, finding Hope is goal and she will not rest until she does.BREAKING POINT is a taut thriller that leaves you on the edge of the seat and refuses to let you go. Ms. Brennan delivers a powerful story that is at times so tough to read I had to put the book down for a few minutes to get myself under control. I am in awe over this author and how she does a marvelous job in capturing the ins and outs of a sex trafficking ring, the nitty gritty details and the evil it does to a person’s soul/body. With the right amount of suspense, the reader is thrust alongside Lucy, JT and the gang as they race to find Bella, who doesn’t want to be found. Bella is a new character to the series and one I enjoyed immensely. She is tough, determined to save as many girls as she can and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty for it. I love Bella and felt she had a lot in common with Lucy. There was a side plot involving Lucy and her new FBI boss that intrigued me as well.If you haven’t read one of the Lucy Kincaid books, then I highly recommend them. They are taut thrillers that will leave you breathless from all the twists and turns this author delivers within the pages of each book. I couldn’t put BREAKING POINT down. It was so good, and I loved how much Lucy has grown as a person and how she is determined to do her job even if that means running afoul to her new boss. With some great characters helping Lucy and J.T., I found BREAKING POINT to be one of Ms. Brennan’s best works yet.BREAKING POINT is a story that will leave you running for more by this author and I highly recommend her to anyone who loves the crime/police procedural stories as much as I do or even a good thriller with an amazing cast of characters to enjoy. With the right amount of tension, suspense and more, Ms. Brennan delivers a shot out of the park with this one and I am eager to see where she goes in the next Lucy Kincaid book, Too Far Gone, coming later in 2018.This is an objective review and not an endorsement

Review of Breaking Point
Allison Brennan’s Lucy Kincaid series has become one of my “move to the top of my to be read list” whenever a new one is released. In Breaking Point, Lucy is asked to help her brother’s friend, JT Caruso, find his sister, Bella, who is working undercover for a private organization. Bella is trying to find a missing girl who was sold into a dangerous prostitution ring, and the ring is expanding across the US. Bella is walking a tight wire, threatened with constant exposure, but she is so close to finding the missing girl that she refuses to give up.Lucy is having her own problems with a new SAC over the San Antonio FBI office. Rachel is suspicious of Lucy because of her special connections to highly placed people within the bureau. She also does not approve of the way Lucy appears to operate outside of boundaries, and she seems to have made it her special mission to prove that Lucy is not suitable for the FBI.This is another good, strong book in the Lucy Kincaid series, and I look forward to reading the next one.

Amazing, Emotional and Gripping Book
Seriously, I appreciate how long it takes an author to write a book and have it published but I need a new Allison Brennan book about once a month. :) I couldn't wait to get Breaking Point and it was incredible - suspenseful, gripping, emotional - all the things I've come to expect from this author's work. Lucy is a wonderful, in-depth character that I never tire of. I wish every Kincaid, Rogen and now Caruso could be in every book. What a wealth of diverse and well-developed characters!!I have to say, also, that one of the things that strikes me about Allison Brennan's books is the amount of research she puts into each one. No matter what the topic or story line, I feel like she knows what she's talking about. Plus, I know for a fact that she does, in fact, do deep research into law enforcement and whatever else the story is about. So many authors wing it and end up with misinformation and that can kill the book. So thank you, Allison Brennan, for taking the time and caring enough to put so much work and effort into your stories. My husband has just begun reading Allison Brennan's books, starting with The Prey, and I am jealous of him discovering her for the first time.

Good Read
Finally it seemed like Lucy's most annoying character traits, her total disregard for authority and the special treatment she receives due to her personal relationships, was going to get called out and resolved. Unfortunately that was not to be and by the end of the book it was business as usual, with everyone fawning over the best darn FBI agent to ever walk this earth. The book was a good read, as are all Allison Brennan's books, but they'd be a lot more realistic, and easier to stomach, if someone would take the rookie Lucy down a notch once and for all..

It is part of a series and could stand alone but the reader might understand the relationships between the characters better by reading previous books in the series
Bella is deep under cover with a powerful figure in the sex trade business, specifically underage girls. Bella lived it years ago and now is searching for a specific young girl but she also has a goal of shutting down the network. She is so deep undercover she may have lost her perspective. FBI agent Lucy gets involved in the case but she has a new boss. Things aren’t going well with her new boss which creates problems for Lucy and her work on the investigation. The details about the sex trade, underage young girls being forced into prostitution, were hard to read. This novel was fast paced and hard to put down. It is part of a series and could stand alone but the reader might understand the relationships between the characters better by reading previous books in the series. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Not one of Allison Brennan's best!
To be blunt, this book is not one of Allison Brennan's best. It is still worth the read, but I found that there were far too many principal characters (hard to keep them straight!), and not nearly enough Lucy and Sean. Making Bella Caruso the focus of the story was a gamble, and for this longtime reader of Brennan's books, it just didn't work. Don't know her, don't know her enough to care about her, did not come to know her enough during the novel. At the end, I wanted more Lucy and definitely was not hankering for another Bella-focused novel.
