Much less water output than Whirlpool wheerm unit. Replaced with wheerm and back to normal.

I ordered this EcoPure reverse Osmosis cartridge as a replacement for the cartridge for my obsolete Whirlpool WHER25 system. EcoPure does not endorse their cartridge as a replacement because, even though it looks and fits like the Whirlpool cartridge, there are many factors that affect how well an RO cartridge performs like the system pressure, output pressure, wastewater efficiency and more. All reasons for concern, however, the alternative, in my case, is purchasing and installing a whole new system so I decided it was worth the risk. I’m glad I took the risk because the EcoPure cartridge performs just like the OEM cartridge with a reduction of dissolved solids from over 300 ppm down to around 30 ppm. I feel confident the filter will perform as expected over its rated 12-month lifespan. (I suspect EcoPure or the manufacturer of EcoPure cartridges also made the Whirlpool cartridges but I can't verify it.)

Was hard to install. Overpriced. No instructions either

This is an exact fit and a much better price than home depot, but when it came, I did not notice it was missing the black o ring near the top. I installed the filter not noticing the missing o ring. It takes a minute to fill the filter, so I walked away and came back to a huge puddle of water. So it's a great product, just check to see if it has the black o ring near the top, if not take the o ring off your old one and install it on the new one.

Habiendo cumplido con las indicaciones de la instalación, el equipo me da una mayor concentración de sólidos a la salida, comparada con la entrada. Ya cambié el cartucho de osmosis sin haber logrado alguna mejoría.
